So, basically it's Mad Libs for terrible fan fiction.

Actually, I think the funnier versions of these types of sites are the ones which try to take themselves a bit seriously. I found one a couple years ago where you'd type in the name of two characters, and you'd get a 500 word story shipping them together. You could just tell that the people who made the Mad Libs style stories were taking themselves seriously, but the fact that they needed to establish some kind of relationship between the two characters in 500 words limited them. The one I got when I tried it was obviously trying to lead into a longer story, so it basically ended anti-climactically with "And then they kissed and started dating, the end."
