Open World Survival Games

There's a bunch of these coming out in the vidya industry that I felt these need a thread.

I've been looking into Subnautica a lot lately, and I gotta say, this game is all sorts of terrifying. I've been watching some let's plays about it and I'm reaching that point where I think I'll shell out twenty bucks for it. Having to survive out in the ocean while being far away from home. Having to manage resources and building your own equipment, all while everything else will possibly overpower you. I mean, it's the ocean, the one thing we as humans can't survive in without extra help or equipment. It's a little terrifying when you think about it in that light.

What are your guys favorite open world survival games?

 

I have played subnautica and I think that it is a good game but I would like it to be procedurally generated

 

Occasional Subnautica/ARK player reporting in - everything looks beautiful but the latter runs like ass. Theses game essentially boil down to Minecraft for people who don't want to look too spergtacular.

 

Mistreated/Rust/h1z1 and most recently Arma 3 with mad mods.

Love me some survival games.
