Garth Ennis

I feel like we have enough members to make this work.
For those who don't know, Garth Ennis is a comic writer who specialises in creating dark and darkly humorous story's often about the supernatural or about political culture. He's also known for his unfathomable hatred for superheroes but can still pull together a decent comic if he has to.
Some of his most popular works are Hitman, Preacher and The Boys.
And just to give you all an idea, this is what he's well known for too:

Seriously though, If you have a fucked up sense of humour or like really fuckin' good war comics then Ennis is the man.

 

Despite being primarily a Marvel reader I can honestly say Preacher is one of the best comic series I've ever read. What comics are those you posted @Foulmouth? I wouldn't mind trying to find a copy online.

 

The first ones from "The Pro", a complete pisstake of marvel/dc , It's a "what if" a random prostitute got given superpowers.
The second ones from "Adventures in the Rifle Brigade" which is a pisstake of the old British style war comics, it's fucking hilarious if you know the style he's mocking.
Pretty much anything he's written is brilliant, except maybe his Dredd stuff, but even he's said he didn't really have the experience to do a character like Dredd properly back then.

Garth Ennis is probably one of my all-time favorite funnypage authors. Bought his entire Preacher run back in college, which was especially entertaining considering I had close relatives working in the ministry at that time. Anycase, Garth's works are an excellent of how to be able to be absolutely batshit crazy one moment, grab the plot by the ear and corkscrew it to into deathly serious in the next.
