Elmo was always the worst Sesame Street character anyway. They should have booted him as soon as they saw that he doesn't use correctly formed English sentences - the show is supposed to be educational after all!

 

Once Kevin Clash's scandal erupted and he left the show, Elmo somewhat faded into the background, at least momentarily. Having a niece and nephew who regularly watch Sesame Street when they're at my house, I can tell you that it's not as "ELMO MANIA" as it used to be.

 

If chris had a tickel me elmo doll he would probably be trying to sell it to cover the mortgage.

It's hilarious that even though Chris is a poster child for wasting taxpayer money, his entitlements are basically unsinkable, thanks to Bob using his own work credits to sign Chris up for programs for which he wouldn't have qualified for himself. No politician will dare to remove the ability for parents to give their disabled kids access to their benefits.

 

It's almost as if whoever holds the executive branch doesn't affect Chris's life at all. The tugboat is safe and what bathroom Chris can shit it's pants in will ultimately be decided by the state.
