Best F(r)iends is the next entry in the Wiseau Cinematic Universe. Judging from the trailer, it looks like it will explore many of the same themes of friendship and betrayal that were introduced in The Room. From what I can tell, F(r)iends will have a dark action/suspense vibe to it.

It kind of seems like he's actually trying to be bad here. I can't wait!

I'm really uncertain about this. Now that Tommy has had the time to recognise and acknowledge The Room's status as being so bad that it's good, he's probably riding off of that (and Disaster Artist) which never works. We may have another Birdemic 2 on our hands.

I think it's mostly Greg riding off the cult status and making this movie, Tommy honestly seems content to just relax and soak up the attention he gets.

I like the idea of Greg and Tommy inserted into a movie with real production values. It's going to be a different experience than The Room.

Implying that The Room didn't have decent production values...

Actually, on this topic, I like talking with people from India about movies sometimes. Apparently, this guy I knew said that The Room had about the same production values as a typical film from his country. I also knew a girl who, when I showed her a few typical films from the 70s (Superman, Death Race 2000) legitimately thought that Superman was Man Of Steel until I told her otherwise, and that Death Race 2000 actually came out in the year 2000. The point is that the Indian guy thought that The Room was hilarious because it looked like what he expected from movies in his country, but with terrible acting and a nonsensical plot. Also, the guy had a tendency to say "Oh Hai Mark," whenever he saw one of his friends.

So, I enjoyed this. It's definitely not like The Room, but there are plenty of Wiseau moments that had me laughing. The pacing is a little slow which is because I think they were going for a Hitchcock vibe, which I was okay with. The movie gets suspenseful at the end and I legitimately got interested in where the story is headed. Looking forward to Part II.
