As long as it isn't trying too hard to be bad or wacky, like The Neighbors and Wiseau's other recent endeavors, this should be good. The trailer starts out a little too forced, but it does look promising and I hope it's good -- or at least genuine, if you know what I mean. I really like the shot of Tommy, sans sunglasses, on a cliff.

Honestly looks impressive to me. It actually makes me look forward to trying it, unlike Neighbors which I never even considered watching.
It doesn't seem like it's trying to be bad to me (which is good), but I'm kind of concerned that it might be a little dull. Tommy doesn't seem to have much creative input and from what I've seen Greg's acting is pretty bad but not enjoyably bad like Tommy. If it wasn't for Tommy's writing and directing in The Room then it never would've been the cult hit it became and Greg's character would've been insanely boring.
Hopefully it will be enjoyable at some level. I'm not expecting The Room 2.0 but hopefully Tommy's performance can give me a little joy and nostalgia.

Is it just me or did Tommy bizarrely not age since making the Room?

Considering how Greg kept going on and on and on in his book about how impossible to work with Tommy was, I'm more than a little disappointed that he decided to do another movie with Tommy. Why subject yourself to that again if it was really that bad?

It makes me wonder if Greg was exaggerating a lot. I mean, I know that any kind of tell-all book like that is bound to have a bit of exaggeration, but I really enjoyed it.

I wouldn't doubt at all that Greg exaggerated the hell out of some of his experiences with Wiseau. While I believe that he's a strange, odd person, I also think Greg knew he could gain a lot by playing up the weirdness of the movie, and some of the mystery behind it all. To be honest, I'm just surprised him and Wiseau stayed in contact, after the ways that he talked about him in the Disaster Artist.

I think the reason why Tommy was so hard to work with in The Room was because Tommy was the director and had control. In Best F(r)iends Tommy is just an actor and has no power, so he's likely to be much more bearable.

The juxtapose of the bad acting and higher production value is delightful.

To be honest I think that's why this may not be as good. The Room had so much crazy shit because a weird ass dude directed it. With this, I feel like it's just going to be a bunch of writers doing wacky stuff to try to replicate it.

I pity the director who has to try and tell Tommy what to do. He very obviously doesn't take suggestion or criticism well.

Yeah I'm concerned about that too. I do not think this will be anywhere near as enjoyable, but Tommy's dumb acting should still make it worth checking out.
