Still playing Lords of the Fallen. Having a blast with it though I'm being careful with online play since I willingly disconnected on the last invasion. Call it a bitch move but the reason for it was the invasion before that had someone that didn't bother to do any melee but instead used the holy lasers of a boss spell to instakill me twice. I don't care what any Steam user or Redditor says about willingly disconnecting is being on par with cheating, I ain't wanting to deal with cheap gankers if they aren't gonna at least try to melee me. If one wants to justify PVP, devs should really just nerf the lasers in PVP so it's not some OP crap that cheapens a fight. That and the fact that I have a family member that I needed to help with homework so that's gonna take a lot more priority than a pvp fight, and I don't want to bother giving someone an easy victory while my internet starts acting spotty. Don't know if it'll really ban me but even without actively disconnecting, shit internet connection that can drop is something I don't wanting to give me actual trouble. That and the repeated crashes that involve "D:\Jenkins" when it brings up a UE crash report.

Lords of the Fallen managed to make me salty twice in a special way: crashing during a boss fight. Doing so good but nah, we can't let you keep going because something from the D:\ of Jenkin's computer borked parts of the game. And I was making good progress on another boss.

Edit: Salt has reached maximum. Just quietly rage quitting because a boss that consist of a giant skull-headed crow managed to crash three times on me. Apparently it's a bug related to AMD drivers which honestly makes me hope the devs can fix this since I'm running a 6700XT.

Second edit: I managed to beat the boss without a crash after post on Steam suggested setting everything to low and the framerate to 60. Was very weary of a crash after killing the boss due to game hanging up for a second or two but all was well.

Back to SE: found an ice covered ocean world with life "only" several light years away.

 

I bought metal gear solid 3 after losing my ability to play it a couple months back, so im happy about it. i almost beat the game the same day i bought it

 

Beaten Lords of the Fallen a couple days ago. Final boss for the "default" path was easy but annoying as fuck. For anyone that played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 3, the devs tried to copy the final boss speech of Demon's Souls while doing Deacons of the Deep from Dark Souls 3, only the enemies you kill have fireaballs that are heat seeking and they seem to spam it every second. Honestly don't mind the final boss being a piss easy enemy despite being a god but they at least could of made it be an easy finishing fight like Demon's Souls did instead of an entire timed phase of killing cultist spamming fire balls.

Earlier played the Long Drive and honestly, it reminds me with other roguelike style games in how one may as well just start all over again after reloading a save simply because you forgot what you were doing last time months ago in said roguelike.

 

Been fixated on the same open cluster for awhile now.

Final Fantasy VIII

 

Played some of the original Lords of the Fallen and now I can remember why it was pretty meh at best and crap at worst. Attacking with anything besides a sword or staff was slow and enemies had faster attacks than the player. Also bought Lies of P and gave it a further try than the demo and honestly, nice as the game looks, I feel like wanting a refund and buying it at a lower price in the future because I'm not a fan of "perfect guard" and I feel like the money spent on it will go to better things, like food.

 

That I know. I always summoned Anri because fuck it, it's part of the questline for the character and I always wanted to get the "ending" for Anri that didn't fuck up her quest by having her being forced into being my wife (I'm not even a fan of Lord of Hollows, I'm still skeptical of Kaathe's intentions and those of his followers. I'm more for just letting the fire fade.). Did fuck up on a second non-new game plus run though in not telling her I saw and killed Horace, not that it probably mattered since Anri always ended up being a hollow at the ned. I too love DS3 and believe it's a good way to end the Dark Souls games. Also helps the starter knight armor was aesthetically the best armor besides slave knight.

 

going back and forth between the mario rpg remake and half life since there's a 25th anniversary edition update for that game

 

It'd be nice if there was a mode where the view could be moved around freely, instead of stuck in isometric view.
