I dont care about stuff but i want a mostly safe community at BC (there are kids everywhere) and the con staff attempt to keep every thing PG-13 at worst, chris on the other hand can be seen as a threat to most people and is a walking NC-17 hazard made human (well sorta human)

well, I'm not a brony myself and I'm neutral to them for the most part, but I laugh at the ones that are crazy like Chris

 

It's been confirmed that Chris behaved himself at BronyCon. That rumor of his going around saying he was horny has been denied by someone who hung out with him during that weekend. And try to avoid getting overly defensive about Chris being a brony. This seems to happen all the time. I refuse to believe that Chris is the worst brony out there. If those guys don't lead you to defending the fandom, Chris should be no problem.

Personally, I don't think fandoms are a problem. Furries, bronies, pokemon fans, and the rest of them all have a spectrum that ranges from those who are partially into said fandom all the way up to the overly zealous/crazy members. I consider mocking and trolling the people on the far end of the fandom spectrum to be a good idea because not only are they easy targets, but they ironically are a liability with their fanaticism.

 

I appreciate what you're saying, but being a brony doesn't mean he's a weirdo or a manchild per se. What if he's just a dude with a weird hobby? I think the whole brony thing is weird and I'll laugh at bronies who make jackasses of themselves and criticize them for what they do and say, but I'm not going up to individual bronies online or in person and telling them they suck.

The reason Chris is a lolcow and most bronies aren't is lolcows fail to function on multiple basic levels: sloth, lack of personal integrity, being unclean... it's like an onion of fail with many layers of fail. I mean imagine trying to explain to someone not in the know why Chris Chan is worthy of negative reactions and criticism because of actions he deliberately undertakes. They just hear "autistic transgender (wo)man" and they stop thinking critically immediately, how dare you criticize this poor mentally handicapped disabled minority?

It's like certain words are so loaded, they just make people stop thinking.

We have to be very careful to not fall into the same trap and hear someone say "I'm a furry" or some shit and immediately jump to conclusions.
