Let's talk about Sonichu

Whoops I had to go out but I'm really glad to see how far this thread has come! Keep your eyes out guys for more Sonichu discussions and polls in the future! <3 I appreciate all the commenters on here!

THE REAL SONICHU.

IT'S BACK.

 

I'd love to see Chris keep a journal or something detailing what the characters are up to, cuz you know he's still coming up with stories in his head.

 

My favorite is Black Sonichu out of the main cast of Sonichus and Rosechus...it was a hard three-way choice between him, Punchy, and Magi-Chan.

Ranking the major Sonichus:
- Black Sonichu because he's got the paper-thin bad boy image. Like the girls make fun of him behind his back for how much of a poser he is kind of deal. Also his racist outburst of "DOES MY FUR LOOK SKINBURN COLOR?" in the Christmas episode was one of the best parts of the whole ordeal.
- Magi-Chan shows autism better than Chris himself. He talks in an overly elaborate and formal manner, setting his speech pattern apart from the others. Sometimes he gets good zingers against the other characters though I think Chris is actually doing that on accident.
- Punchy or, as he might be better known, Asian Knuckles.
- Wild is mildly better than those that remain for reasons detailed in others' posts, his tragic backstory and cute design.
- All others being equal except
- Zapina, Chloe, BlazeBob, and the Basement Rosechus are all either pointless or net negatives to the comic as a whole. Basement Rosechus were at least sorta funny in a certain sense.



My favorite parts of the story are:
1) All the Sub-episodes
2) The parts of the first six or seven issues that aren't Sonichu Babies
3) Basically every line Megagi said before she was lobotomized and turned into Bionic's girlfriend

I actually liked the Anchuent Prophecy setup and wanted it to continue. I also wanted the main comic and comic-depicted reenactments of Chris's real life problems to remain separate because they were both laughable in different ways. When the two were combined, the comic became less fun.

 

dude, i love sonichu, fucking thing is funny after 10 years and its always going to be funny. if some wizard or something said you had to choose between all the videos and sonichu, or never another video again and sonichu, id choose sonichu 10 times out of 10.

I'd love to see that journal. Due to my weird fascination with Sonichu I'd love to see what other crazy shenanigans the Electric Hedgehogs get into.

That comment about combining real life with the comic did catch my attention and I must say... If Barbara Chandler hadn't told Chris to stop doing Sub Episodes we may still have had them separated. I blame Barbara and not Chris for the combining of the two because I think it was said she told him to stop doing the sub episodes.

Though thank you for reminding me the basement Rosechus existed! I forgot literally half of the electric hedgehogs and now I should be able to make a better poll next time! ( Though I will now be using the cwcki for help on that too! Bless those sweethearts at the cwcki for documenting each Sonichu/Rosechu in the comic!

 

I love Sonichu. It's so awful. I've never seen such a so-bad-it's-good story in my life, and that's made better by how sincere it is. I wish that Chris would draw more, but that'll probably never happen.

My favourite hedgehog is probably Silvana. I like her design (kind of) and she almost has a personality. She's probably one of the most unique characters too, seeing as she's intersex and has a defined backstory. She's also an original character, and a villain too; most of the villains were based off real people but she seemed to be based off all of CWC's fake girlfriends/Pickle Rosechus and somehow managed to be more than a caricature. Her powers are also a bit more creative than some of the other abominations. Her name is also more acceptable than most of theirs.

She sort of stands out from some of the other characters as good in comparison, even though she would be considered awful anywhere other than Sonichu.

I also like Silvana/Magi-chan for some reason.

 

I'd always choose Sonichu over Chris' videos. I find the comic much more entertaining than this Sky Landers, Lego, and Amiibo crap. ( Tbh seeing what Chris did to those Amiibos makes my stomach knot because I am an Amiibo collector. ).
Tbh this is probably why I find the Tomgirl Saga such a disappointment... The lack of Sonichu comics ( Even though DStecks donated so much money ) is just... Disappointing.
I never thought Chris would get boring but... I find this ongoing saga incredibly boring. ( Not outright horrible like the Julie saga. )

 

Lets not kid ourselves, DStecks didn't give Chris money because he wanted more Sonichu, he did it because he was made to feel guilty for spending 5 years making fun of Chris.

 

I'm glad I'm not alone in loving Sonichu! I'm sorry I didn't include Silvana in the poll. I'll be doing a more accurate one hopefully sometime today if I don't go the Chris route and play video games ( if work doesn't call me in lol ).

I honestly have very mixed feelings about Silvana and her relationship with Magi-chan. Maybe it's because I can't honestly see Magi-chan falling in love or maybe it's because I think Silvana might have a hard time staying true to someone ( or out of fear Chris will do the same thing to them as they did Megagi... * shivers * I would cry if that happens. I enjoy Silvana's roll as a villain. ) or even all of the above. I enjoy Silvana as a villain and would love to see them continue to be one...

She definitely stands out amongst the female Rosechus. Silvana is way more developed than characters like Angelica or... Ugh Zapina. ( Zapina is my least favorite of all of Sonichu. )... But I'm legit terrified Chris may destroy her development and turn her into some fuckdoll for Magi-chan. Chris' done it once, who's to say history doesn't repeat itself here?

Tldr; I'm fearful that Magi-chanxSilvana will be made into a shallow ship like BionicxMegagi.

True. I know that's why he did it and at least Chris spent the money somewhat wisely(?).

At least that money wasn't completely wasted...

 

Okay time to set up the new poll! Don't worry I think this post will still be opened.

First up: The poll for the Best Sonichu! This will be for just the Sonichu's right now as the Rosechu's will get their own poll! Gotta keep everything separate for recording sake!

 

Umm, a Rosecu poll will be interesting given that no one voted for Rosechu, Bubbles, or Simonla at all in this round.

I think Lolisa only got her two votes from pity fuckers LOL.

 

I will do a Rosechu poll next but I just need to write down all the Rosechus first.

Tbh I'm still unsure if I should put Silvana in a Rosechu Poll alongside Robee because of the Tomgirl thing is why I'm still having a hard time thinking how I will go about this.

Though for some reason I'm sure Silvana would win that list. Idk why.

 

I think I like it because they're both kind of outcasts. And they're both purple so it looks nice. I don't really ship them because it's Sonichu but there was a little bit of development.

I kind of wish Silvana stayed a villain too. If Chris could write worth a toss, it would have been nice to see her develop after she switched sides but the whole thing was just "I've interacted with a guy and I'm female so we're a couple and I'm good because he is". Didn't know what I was expecting. As a villain, she at least has a personality (kind of).

Since there'll probably never be any more Sonichu, we probably won't have to see Silvana turn into a fucktoy. Every cloud has its silver lining.

 

TRUE. Maybe that's one of the good points of Chris being too lazy to write more Sonichu.

Seeing another "good" female be turned into a sex toy would honestly make me want to puke.

 

I still don't quite understand what is going on overall in Sonichu.

 

It's a mess so don't worry. You're not alone in that regard.

 

If Chris could write even as well as a low-tier anime or fanfic writer, he'd have Magi-Chan start opening up his autistic shell due to an attraction and genuine affection for Silvana and Silvana slowly change allegiance after falling in love with Magi-Chan, with a whole bunch of time spent with her still being a villain while the two are transparently attracted to each other.

And I lost my train of thought on my previous post, I was going to say that Magi-Chan is a great example of an overly formal autist, but Punchy is the perfect example of a sperg raised on cheap pop culture input instead of proper education and socialization. Also it's way too easy to read all his dialogue in a cheap Japanese accent, and that sounds funny in my head.

 

It really is a shame. However, there are plenty of people who could write that for us. I would have a go if I weren't so busy. One of the joys of Sonichu is being able to work with the characters in a way that Chris couldn't.

Chris is both of those things and I find that hilarious.

Definitely; there are quite a few readings that do that. In Brendaniel's reading, he just calls Punchy 'Asian Knuckles' and it goes quite nicely with the cheap accent.

 

Sonichu is crap but the same can also be said of other Sonic fan-creations such as recolors and such. Still, it is crap in a special way since this was made by a man who thought he could break big with it, especially since he fell for trolls that posed as people such as Shigeru Miyamoto and Reggie Fils-Aimee of Nintendo. Do like how it spawned some parody works, even one may think of them as ween shit if that applies (Sonichu: TAS, CWC Adult Chronicles, etc.)
