Traditional gender roles are not as controversial in Japan. But yeah, if one has an IQ greater than Stephen Hawking, it'd be nice to put it to use as a doctor.

...Wasn't the Sailor Moon manga written by a woman? Which the anime is based upon.

Anyway, Chris hyperfocusing on something as simple as a song from an anime is typical of someone with his condition. As is his need to tell people about it. That's another common trait for people with autism. The need for validation. There was likely a time, long ago, when Chris sought validation solely from his mother and father, but now he yearns for approval from his peers (which is the natural way of thinking). Problem is, he makes no effort to make real relationships with people of his own age, because he has basically made himself a hermit.

That being said, I'm not sure if becoming sexually stimulated from a song is common for people on the autism spectrum...I think that might just be Chris' own brand of bizarre

 

With respect to Chris and the Attack Helicopter thing:

 

The Sailor Moon anime from the 90's is not good, it is basically generic Japanese anime with characters named after people from the Sailor Moon manga. I know a lot of people have a lot of nostalgia for it, but damn, people need to stop eating the member-berries.

The most recent anime(Sailor Moon Crystal) has an amazing soundtrack, even if you don't watch the series, you should listen to the soundtrack on youtube.

 

I'd have to agree that the early Sailor Moon anime wasn't the greatest. But most magical girl animes aren't because they're specifically created in japan for little girls 4-11. Also, to sell merchandise. K-kind of like My Little Pony...now that I think of it. Nothing stops Chris.

 

Hey, I'm not going to lie, Takanori Arisawa was a very talented composer. Doesn't surprise me his music stimulates the nostalgia boner.

 

I think Cardcaptor Sakura is probably one of the best magical girl series, mainly because it was one of the first.

 

Princess Tutu is the only one I can actually remember and something I could actually go back and watch. Though I admittedly was really hype for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but like the ending sucked so hard.

 

When it comes to anime, I almost always never watch the last two episodes.

 

My pick for best magical girl series (and one Chris will never touch with a 39-and-a-half foot pole)?

In my opinion, the anime from the 90s released and edited by Toei was great and so was the music. The anime or music was never intended to be fap material for middle - aged perverts, though.
