I've written some erotic fiction before. I daresay it was terrible and autistic, but I was always writing for an audience of two and usually got an approval rating above 50% so there's that going for me.

As for erotic garbage, I have read one called Unmasqued, which is an erotic version of Phantom of the Opera. It's utter trash and there's not much interesting to say about it other than the source material it uses. Oh, and that Christine Daae is apparently an incomparable slut

I also recall coming across an erotic novel on Amazon.com that was a Doctor Who erotic novel in everything but the name. He was still Doctor Who in every sense of the word (based on the David Tennant Doctor) all the way down to the way he spoke and his mannerisms. Except he wasn't called the Doctor. Makes me wonder if some Bootleg Daleks show up at some point in the book. Now I kinda wish I had bought it, so I could find out. Now I don't even remember the title

 

I was going to mention Fanny Hill, but someone else beat me to the punch. Then there's the also aforementioned 120 Days of Sodom, which is more disgusting than erotic (unless you're the Marquis De Sade, of course).

Fun Fact: You know Salo? The film adaptation of the book set in Fascist Italy that is often considered one of the most disgusting and gruesome examples of extreme cinema? Yeah, that's the toned down version.

Of course, there's the whole Fifty Shades nonsense, which is about as accurate of a portrayal of BDSM as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is an accurate portrayal of military operations and protocol.

Of course, there's the slew of erotic fanfiction out there, but that should go in the Fanfiction sub-forum.

 

One of the stories I wrote was of a space explorer crashing onto a planet, crushing a gigantic space spider in the process. The planet fell in love with him for saving her (and turned out to have a single hivemind for all lifeforms native to herself). She understood each word of his language as he spoke it, only able to make sentences out of things she'd heard him say. So at first all she could say was "Fukdammit", then "Fukdammit, I hate spiders!"
