Editing the CWCki

Ive been playing around with docker recently. With the site contents i could make a docker image that could be spun up when the server experiences slowness or downtime. Or put into a swarm and clusterized to help with bandwidth. I dont think i could host it, but i could probably make the dockerfile.

Hell, with proper access and maybe a few bucks id even be willing to setup a few VPS for that swarm

 

I've asked him to do that before. I volunteered to mod just to get rid of pages tagged speedy delete and other maintenance tasks, or I asked him if not me to mod someone else, since it triggers my 'tism to see a dick pic that's been tagged "delete" for 18 months and breaks my heart to see the greatest wiki in the history of the Net not living up to its legacy.

In terms of the tech admin stuff he said his problem is that it's tough finding someone who both 1. he trusts and 2. is technically competent.

Probably best places to find him to talk to him about this are on Kiwi, and Sonichu IRC.

I interpret that as he doesn't want to invest in something that he won't be able to sustain at some point in the future. He's very independent-minded and is starting to have significantly more disposable income so he's just going to pay for it himself.

(Some of these trust issues could be from the CWCki almost getting nuked by Cogs because it didn't look good for his new identity as an SJW tranny and Marvin having to step in, but that's conjecture on my part.)

Any suggestions? We're thinking of merging, and maybe reducing, some of the sections, like the ones under Past homophobia. Some newer stuff should be added, too - like, Chris's Wikipedia study of tribbing and bonobo monkeys seems absent from those pages.

Mistakes like that could probably be fixed. I haven't read much of the cwcki for a while, so I'm a bit unfamiliar with the state of it now. Maybe I could think of something after looking at a couple pages.

I've been thinking of making a CWCki account since I was in Arizona for a month back in December. I think I used to have one there as a teenager circa 2014, but it was lost in all of the hosting and database changes in the past decade. No harm in starting again. Longtime Christory veterans need to be able to use their knowledge for something, I guess.

@RetardBus and @Ore Rosechu - check the dates on the posts. @Hurtful Truth Level hasn't been around since January, so it's unlikely that he'll see your posts anytime soon. If you really want to edit the Cwcki, your best bet would be to reach out to him directly via the Official Cwcki Discord server.

My main has mine as for some reason I thought it was required. I tried removing it (I feel like services should have a very limited ability to figure out who you are. Especially in a Cancel Culture climate see: Reddit and Twitter banning anyone who sneezes on the site the wrong way)

Sadly everything I do I get a message saying my account is blocked till I added it back
