The average Brony is a NEET who pisses in jugs and then collects the piss jugs in a corner of their room right next to the discarded fap socks. Stop trollshielding.

 

I have noticed, in every brony I've ever known (which is like five of them lol) or seen on these here interwebs that parental (financial) support, trust fund income or whatever other income that isn't from working is a key component to making them lulzy. If they're not still living at home or living on their parents' money or living in their parent's home well into adulthood (and not contributing to the household or working on leaving the household, that is key), it seems a part of the brony "equation" is missing.

I do think from personal anecdotal observations that not being supported by anyone else financially is the kryptonite to Bronyism for most people.

 

It was like that for the sonic freaks back in the early 2000s, and star trek before that. A lot of them were much the same way, Bronies just managed to somehow galvanize behind a show and become a fandom. However, I will freely admit I've met many Trekkies, and none of them have recently cringed me out like Bronies can.

 

I love Star Trek but any fandom that overdoes it can be cringey. I can't imagine being a grown ass man and being obsessed with a little girls cartoon. It's just unsettling to witness these people.

I'd argue that the Brony fandom started overdoing it the moment it stopped being Ironic. I think the whole thing started as a joke that some people took way too far. Back in the day the fun part about Bronism wasn't a dumb show about cartoon horses it was making people mad by referencing a dumb show about cartoon horses.

It kind of reminds me about how the whole reason the "Harambe" movement exploded was because, originally, it was started to make fun of knee-jerk, whack-job animal activists, but then took on a life of it's own...
