I went in not knowing anything about the manga or really anything about the show. 3 episodes in and it's good.

MAPPA's doing an amazing job with the anime. I'm 7 episodes in and it's still great. Crunchyroll(?) is even doing a pretty good job with the English dub as well.

One of my favorite parts from the first 3 episodes is the testicle devil thing.

 

Next time I call in sick I'm telling them I got attacked by a testicle demon.

Just finished it, what a rush. Best anime I’ve seen in a long time. When does season 2 come out?

 

Not all the episodes have been released yet. There should be 12-13 in total in part 1 of Season 1. Part 2 (another 12 episodes) is probably going to come out sometime next Spring.

Season 2 (If there is one - the manga material that would be in Season 2 is ... not great) wouldn't be until late 2023 or 2024. The studio that makes it, MAPPA, usually releases new seasons every couple years. Right now, they're working on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (which is a superior series so watch that instead.)

 

Denji wants to smash Makima. Makima smashed like a dozen guys at once.

 

Makima's a huge bitch.

 

First part of the manga was decent enough, but the high school shit in part two is getting really boring.

Also killing off Aki, Power, and Makima in such rapid succession was a dumb idea because now all of the interesting characters are fucking GONE lmao.

 

I have many opinions about the manga.
To add to the spoiler --- they did my boy Beam dirty.

 

Denji is so distracted by her tits that he doesn't realize Power is the best girl.

 

So this show is all about women emotionally manipulating a teenage boy, it’s pretty great.

 

Power. Himeno literally tried to do a statutory rape on Denji.
