What are you playing right now?

I just finished Final Fantasy VII Remake - Intergrade, after starting it and then putting it off forever. I am now ready for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

 

Yeah, all that was needed to make it original compared to the others was literally take the stamina system from Breath of the Wild (or similar, BotW came to mind because of the stamina bar), add in the system that Fortnite has in shooting and melee because it's an Unreal Engine 5 game and the elements of Minecraft and bam, you have something that gameplay wise a different cut from Pokemon even with all the knock-off Pokemon. Say what you want on how creative they look or not, the fact that I can just beat the crap out of a chicken to get its meat and then gun down some animals and humans to capture them so they can be slave labor instead of glorified cockfights is on some other creative level compared to Pokemon.

 

Playing Reversi (AKA "Othello") vs AI on easy mode is something I can usually win at.

(still figuring out how to play that game)

I think a number may freak out too much about copying.

Currently trying to catch 10 albacore so I can unlock the computer. I can't wait until I expand my house in the game enough so I can have a home office

 

Turns out that's more or less possible on gas giants BTW.

(Confirmed by winds observed near poles on planet 5 IRL.)

 

Bloodborne. First playthrough. It wasn't as rough as I expected it to be.

 

Currently trying to unlock the casino in Stardew Valley so I can blow all my money on trying to get that alien scarecrow and that furniture.

 

Haven't played Switch in awhile: "controller drift" has gotten so bad that vidya on it are almost unplayable.

 

Played F.E.A.R. 3 again these last few days after seeing a video that went over its flaws. And playing it reminds me of how it's not a good entry in the trilogy its a part but I still got my share of fun out of it even though neither it nor its predecessor can match up to the first F.E.A.R. game and its expansions. Even the second expansion for F.E.A.R. is better than F.E.A.R. 3.

 

Are all Switch controllers subject to "controller drift", or just some?

 

I've been trying to clear out my Steam Backlog (Would ya believe I never left Act 1 of Baldur's Gate 3? Saved the druid bear, starting killing the goblin camp off, and then I kinda got distracted by IRL shit... but hey I also have that Saint's Row reboot, Sonic Superstars, God of War, PalWorld, and a bunch of indie bullshit I promised people I'd playthrough argh... Steam sales gave us all Chris' vidya spending habits and I fucking hate/love it.)

Right now I'm ignoring all of them because I recently figured out how to mod SA2 so I've been playing through that again, even though I've done that several times since I was ten years old.

I hate being ADHD, I really do.

But eventually I'll get bored of that and hopefully move onto something I haven't played before.

 

I'm not touching those until the community mods back in the content from the GBA/DS/PSP remakes. I know someone on Nexus has almost managed to do that for the first one

 

In that space sim, there's a seemingly unrealistic number of Earth-like worlds with life around white dwarf suns. White dwarf suns IRL are formed when a not-too-massive sun goes red giant and then collapses, or by a red dwarf going out -- and I think the universe isn't anywhere near old enough for the latter to happen yet.

 

I personally like how III is faithful to the original NES version, but the classes are more balanced, just in different ways compared to the DS version, but still mostly balanced. I admit with the DS version, some of the transition from 2D to 3D for some of the monsters and whatnot was a bit awkward.

 

Master of Orion 2: played as custom Mrrshan (they look like Kzinti in MOO2).
