So since we're on the topic of comics, how about we discuss manga.

What manga are you reading? I'm currently reading through Oriko Magica

Toriko. Seems pretty good so far. I'm halfway through Stardust crusaders too, though sadly they don't sell the books in my local weeb emporium.

I have a single One Piece book. I used to borrow anything I was familiar with from TV from the library and got woefully incomplete exposure to series that way. One Piece, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, and also anything that looked like a fantasy adventure.

Hatsukoi Zombie has been one hell of a ride so far, and I'm sure it's gonna end on something that'll break my heart. I'd also be reading Ghost in the Shell right now, but the only English translation I know of has all the images flipped, and that's really bugging me. I'll probably end up reading it like that if there aren't any scanlations that don't mess up the artwork for the sole purpose of making it easier to read for people that don't really give a shit about manga.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is my favourite manga, especially Part 7 Steel Ball Run. I've been re-reading through it again recently.

There's two not really obscure, but yet not really well known manga I'd recommend to anyone who likes horror and just general creepiness

I am a Hero - Possibly the best zombie story I've ever seen/read - and I really dislike zombie plots in things. I don't want to spoil anything, but it's definitely VERY unique how they go into the whole zombie thing. Also, it contains one of my favorite tropes - the flawed, unlikable protagonist who ends up getting their shit together when the people start relying on them. Sorta like the main dude in Gantz if you ever read that manga. It's very well written and very human in how things are dealt with. There's apparently a film too - but I haven't seen it. Manga is great though.

6000 - Another nice horror manga about an underwater research facility where things go very wrong, very fast. It's got supernatural stuff and is super claustrophobic. I haven't finished reading this one but the half of it I did read was really good. I've seen it compared to the movie Event Horizon, just underwater. And that about sums it up.

Well currently, I decided to see if I could get back into and finish Black Bird since I have half the volumes thus far, and the rest I can read online. Honestly, probably my biggest guilty pleasure if I had to pick one, but what attracted me from the start was the beautiful art. The characters are alright, and the eroticism at least works how it should, but I just love the art the most.

I also decided to try and read The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, though I'm not entirely sure if the manga would be more tolerable than the anime or not. But I'm curious how it tackles the Endless Eight, if it does.

And thanks to the recent Yu-Gi-Oh movie, I have that huge need to get back into the manga. Probably going to pull it up once I'm done with Black Bird.

Monster is excellent, I remember bingeing the anime so it's a trip down memory lane to read the manga. I was pretty stoked when new chapters were released of my favourite trash, D Gray Man, but given that the release schedule is about as active as Cwc's sex life i'm not getting my hopes up.
