Fucking really?! A sniper target?! Could you imagine what would happen if you went back to the 1940s and told the Greatest Generation that they're grandchildren/great-grandchildren were going to be such pussies that they identified people being mean to them on a thing full of people that they would never meet as being shot at by a sniper?

 

We get a little more pampered each generation. Imagine the axe-wielding warriors of the older generations hearing that the so-called Greatest Generation were so cowardly that they used guns, nuclear weapons and planes. Going back further, and the people beating other tribemembers to death with rocks would be horrified that medicine was used to treat wounds and metal weapons were made sharper than the blunt rocks to ensure cleaner cuts and more efficient (less painful) deaths.

 

Come on, there's a difference between vikings going "you use guns? Git gud, skrubs" and pussying out because people online are mean to you.

 

True, but keep in mind that in the future we might not interact with actual people online at all, and people will be whining because AI computer characters are being mean to them.

 

Sadly, I see this being a big possibility.
