    Yeah, most of the units were from people who pledged to the Kickstarter and IIRC they did screw over those people with delays and stuff.

    Seriously, the Ouya is an amazing case study. I wish Matt McMuscles of Wha Happun? would do a video on it

    Commercials no doubt give people an idea what a product can do. Ouya failed in that regard by getting a Great Value Adult Swim cartoon to make a commercial that did nothing buy make a jab at COD being the same thing while not even bothering to show what their crappy little phone in a plastic case could do. And I say crappy little phone since the specs all turned out to be nothing more than just Android without the ability to make phone calls. And say what you want with COD, at least that can offer something even if its hearing manchildren sperg out hard R's to each other in multiplayer and laughing at them all being manchildren.

    I wouldn't be surprised if Ouya's success in being a thing that existed was due to Kickstarter and the early days of crowdfunding before people realized all the pitfalls crowdfunding could have.
