Notice how Chris looks like an 11-year old girl in the 2010 scene? I'm not surprised anymore.

 

Maybe I'm over thinking this, but in the last comic where he put the RIP to Bob, but does he have more anger to him than we've seen or are aware of and the RIP was because I don't want to look like a bad guy hating on my passed father and I'll get ass pats? I dunno, that would be rather advanced for Chris to think that deeply or maybe I'm just reading it wrong but that picture seems rather angry to me in it's core.

 

I agree that there is anger there, but I don't think he did the RIP to try to make it sound less bitter. I think he wishes that his dad would have lived long enough to accept his new gender identity. And this would be around the time Bob passed, so I can see how these emotions would come up. Despite the fact that the Barb and Bob were anything but functional people, Chris does love them very much.

I think Chris is rehashing the birth of his new gender identity because he associates it with a life away from trolls. Around the time of his re-gendering and his father's death (which were close to the same time), the trolls (for the most part) backed away. Now that Hirtes and his over 9,000 socks because he's totally not like Chris guize! a swarm of weens have descended on his Twitter account, he is going back to his creepy courtship of women online and getting blocked by them, and putting stuff in the comics that may be as crazy as the Golden Age, he cannot use his new gender identity as a means of escape anymore and longs for the days when he did.

And by normal standards, you would be overthinking this. But remember, you're on a forum with 922 other people who discuss every possible motive or reasoning behind all the shit Chris does, so you're among friends. Very, very autistic friends.

 

Oh man, you are right, sometimes we over or under think Chris because he's well as you said Chris but, this is a rare time the most logical reasoning makes sense.

It's perfectly normal to overthink/underthink what Chris's motives and thoughts are because it really is so chaotic. Sometimes Chris gets so strange that the only way for him to get stranger is to get normal.
