    Mildly off topic but
    Titanic Honor and Glory
Long story short it is a game in development that is set on an extremely accurate Titanic replica made in Unreal 4. In terms of Easter Eggs, the developers want little nods to various Titanic media, including these.

I think the best nod to the Titanic in animated form without sugar-coating it was this (please mind the use of cats though).

Those Italians really know how to make an animated film.

Technically not. What really happened is a rather terrible story of two Italian sleazeball producers who decided to copycat each other.

First off, Orlando Corraldi and his "Mondo TV" group produced "The Legend of The Titanic in 1999, with the undisclosed help of the North Korean animation studio "SEK" (or "April 26th Children's Film Studio). This guy apparenty had been involved with producing similar family-related movies and shows for Italian TV that often relied on foreign help, especially from Japanese studios, but here, I supposed he had to set his bar down low a bit due to he touchy subject of the film's premise. I'm certain James Cameron's Titanic was the catalyst for making this happen at all.

Long story short, that film did rediculously well in Italy, leading to another guy who stepped into the picture, Camillo Teti, who without help thought he could direct the perfect tribute to the ship with a film that was produced soley on the Italian pennisula rather than outsourced. Being less creative, he obviously had to crib from "The Mouse House" when it came to characters and subplots seen in 2000's "Titanic, La leggenda continua". This version of course had the rapping dog, but the running down was a tad longer with slower pacing for irrelevant mometns but you could figure out what was happened among our cast of 'survivors'. Don't recall how well this film did, but apparently enough to keep it alive domestically, while a foreign edition of the film was re-edited by former Disney Afternoon producer Jymm Magon to include differnet songs, tighter edits and a more incomprehensible story that is easy to miss if you blinked.

And while that would've been the end of it, Orlando Corradi apparently didn't feel like that was that for his film, and thus, a new sequel showed up a few years down the road with "Tentacolino", named after the canine-nosed octopus who tore the ship asounder with an thrown iceberg. It's clearly obvious the guys behind "In Search of The Titanic" either did not see the first film or simply came on without knowledge thereof. Whatever the case, this film essnetially completes the "Titanic Animated Trilogy" as people have chose to dub these with.

And while that could be the end, the same couldn't be said for Camillo Teti, who ended up a producer of yet-another boat film back in 2007 with "El Arca" (a.k.a. "Noah's Ark"). While obviously not counting in the same breath as the Titanic movies, it otherwise is very much a spoof of the famliar biblical story of a bunch of animals being stuck on the ark during the 40 days and 40 nights of a flood, and the tensions build up between principle characters of the bunch.

I used to have Titanic: the legend continues as a very young kid. It was only sold in the UK on unlicensed DVD's (of course that didn't matter to parents who just wanted their kids to shut up for an hour). Of course when you're seven, not old enough to watch the actual titanic and haven't hit puberty yet, I though this cartoon was the fucking best movie ever. Then it gets really popular on the internet for the wrong reasons, yo look back at it and think "was I really that fucking retarded"?

I'm sure you're not the only one. Even back in 2002, I knew this was total crap when Jerry Beck exposed it on an old blog he was on!
    http://www.cartoonresearch.com/news.html

I ended up buying a Canadian DVD of the film (as it was apparently legit up there and also had a French audio track too). It was everything I expected it to be.

Then I ended up buying a Hong Kong DVD that contained the original cut of the film, this was what first showed up I suppose back in Italy, though of course the HK disc only had English and a Cantonese dub on it, but it's pretty noticeable to see the differences in pacing and music.

Neil Nadelman placed this up on YT in multiple parts, I see unlike back at The Farms, this place now limits me to embed five vids per post, oh well...

I kinda like watching this version because it's like watching a crappy workprint and thinking to yourself, how am I going to fix this? Obviously Jymm thought he knew what to do!

Here's that Fritz's scene in Italian BTW!

It's a shame that thumbnail is frozen on a shot of the Broadway musical's marquee. Because that shit is fucking gorgeous.

Ugh...I didn't even know there was a third movie. I only knew of the rapping dog and the dog-faced octopus.

It is, sometimes video sites like Vimeo can be a bitch if they don't let you choose the right thumbnail to use, but perhaps the user was being safe by not showing it off too early. It is certainly a fine piece of work, the Anne Frank moment does it for me!

These things just slip through the radar pretty easily.
