This is the post where I say go wild and talk about Sonichu again but this time it doesn't have a theme and just-

Go wild and talk about either the work itself, fanworks, or anything involving Sonichu just because I love hearing thoughts and opinions on it.

Yes I had a thread on this before but it had a fail poll attempt so- Here's a cleaner place to talk about our favorite electric hedgehog and his friends / family.

What about Chris-chan Sonichu?

That's like throwing them both into a blender- Except the fact Sonichu is actually strangely successful with women.

 

Chris-Chan Sonichu is just Chris in his fursona form. And fictional Chris was funnily enough more successful with women than real life Chris.

I feel that this is a good place to post my old one-off writings I found today. When I was working on Dark Cronicles, a fanfic that is currently on hiatus, I posted some one-off things, things like "Crystal Clear facts," little trivia about Crystal Weston Chandler, a one chapter short story, and this essay, which I post now unchanged since 2014.

Spoiler: Ramblings about a minor character in a shitty comic.

Nobody Cares About Crystal: A super autistic hypothesis by Pikonic.

One of the many criticisms Sonichu has received involved how little Sonichu, Rosechu, and the Chaotic Combo cared about saving Crystal from the Dark Mirror Hole. Page 19 of issue six shows the sonichus in the mayor's office. Rosechu is concerned with how shaky Sonichu is, Wild is wishing they'd hurry up, Megagi is wondering about her friends back home, Darkbind is worried about Zelina, and Punchy is lamenting that he's missing a TV show.
One can forgive Darkbind, Megagi, and even possibly Rosechu. Perhaps Wild wanted them to hurry up out of concern and wanting to know more about the situation, maybe Punchy was trying to lighten the mood, or in denial that things were as bad as they were.
This is all ruined the following page when Bubbles makes the transition from Crystal's current state to how great Bionic is. Instead of telling her she's being an inappropriate twat, Punchy, Wild, Megagi, Patti, and Angelica join in on Bubble's bland conversation about Bionic, basketball, and what women want in a man. All this mere seconds after Magi-Chan has said things look bad for Crystal.
Nevertheless, the rats go and find the Sonichu balls. Despite Crystal possibly dying in the Dark Mirror's realm, gathering the Sonichu balls is done out of convenience rather than urgency. Bubbles got the Sonichu ball at the beach because they were already there on vacation, Wild went to 4-cent because Sonichu and Rosechu were already going there to remove dick pics off the internet. They got two because Darkbind had them, and he was literally in the room with them, and they got another from downstairs when Reldnahc tried to steal it from a jeweler. Let's not forget Magi-Chan already had one out of nowhere (that's 6 out of 7, gotten by either luck or convience) It's like I wanted a soda while getting gas at the station, "since I'm here, I can grab that too." The first thing they do after getting the last ball is take dating education class, or nothing for Sonichu, Rosechu, Bubbles, Blake, Magi-Chan and Angelica.
Later in the series, Chris emerges from the time void. Keep in mind the sonichus have 5 balls, and Chris has two. The collection is complete. One would think saving Crystal (the point of collecting the damn things in the first place) would be the first thing to do, right? I mean, if CWCissey got trapped somewhere and Trickie and I had the keys to free him, we'd go free him the second we had all the keys. Right? Right?
No. First they need to get the fucking band together, kill thousands, cure the homogay population, fight Reldnahc, and become their super forms. (Sorry CWCissey, I gotta finish this chapter, Trickie has to put up her next page, I need to go to the DMV, and Trickie wants lunch first.) THEN Crystal is FINALLY saved, and only Chris and Patti are there, the sonichus didn't even bother to swing by, keep in mind most of them were doing nothing of importance.
So now the question is, why didn't the sonichus care that much about Crystal? (Why nobody cared in the comic.)
Well, why should they? They didn't even know Crystal. Crystal is seen only once in the same room as them minutes before her capture, and she has never exchanged dialogue with any hedgehog. The fact is, they barely knew her. It's not crazy to not want to risk your neck for someone who has never spoken to you. The reason they care at all is because Chris cares....however,
The bigger question is, why didn't Chris care about Crystal? (Why the author didn't care IRL.)
Simply because, Crystal isn't real.
Let's talk about Crystal as a character first. Chris in the comics reflected Chris in real life, he wanted female companionship above all else. When he created Crystal, he didn't have a woman to latch on to. Sarah was in a long term relationship ready to get married, the gal pals of MHS were long fucking gone, he didn't appear to make friends in college, Megan wasn't his "true sweetheart" yet, and trolls didn't exist. So when Chris had no woman in his life, he created a sister, a female companion who would be there for the rest of their lives but wouldn't stop him from getting a real girlfriend. Is it insane to think Crystal was basically a placeholder until Chris got a girlfriend and the girlfriend could be the lead female instead? Not really.
I think that's why Crystal was captured, it was to get her out of the way so Sailor Megtune could be Chris's female partner. I'm sure had Meg-Chan not "dumped" Chris, they would've saved Crystal and she's say something dumb like "Here Meg-Chan, take my Rosechu medallion and fight crime with my brother, you're better and stronger than I'll ever be." then leave and never come back. Sadly, Megan "dumped" Chris, but by then he was internet famous, so he had numerous girlfriends, meaning he had no use for Crystal. Crystal is finally saved in 2010, after Kacey called it quits but before Jackie showed up. Is it a coincidence that Chris saved Crystal at a point in time he had no "girlfriend"? Maybe, maybe not. So Crystal took back seat to "girlfriends" that were "real" because she wasn't, and that's why Chris didn't care, because if he already had what was planned to replace Crystal, why need Crystal?
Writing this has forced me to do a lot of research on Crystal Weston Chandler, and making me look deeper into a character who's barely is in a dozen pages. Her story goes beyond her simply getting captured with little hope of rescue, it's about an innocent character left by the wayside because all the other characters are selfish pricks. Crystal did nothing wrong. In fact, the reason she was captured was because she did a selfless act to save Meg-Chan. Only to be abandoned for 3 years.
Keep in mind Chris believes in an alternate universe where his creations are just as real as you and me. Crystal is just as real to him as Sonichu or Simonla.
How shitty would you feel if you were Crystal? Or, if Chris is right, how shitty does the real Crystal Weston Chandler feel?

Broken Heart.

The chapel was filled and the priest was standing at the altar, the guests were growing restless, the ceremony was supposed to start almost an hour ago.
Downstairs, a young woman with blond hair in a wedding dress sat alone in the dressing room, crying while holding a note, the note read:
My dearest Mary,
I can't go on with the marriage. Last week, I met a wonderful woman named Barbara. This mourning I realized I don't truly love you. I can't marry you when a woman like Barbara is able to enchant me the way she did. I'm sorry, I know this will devastate you, that's why I'm going to let you keep the house, it's the least I can do. I'll be there next week to collect my things. You're a good person, but I couldn't live the rest of our lives under a lie. I must follow what my heart tells me and be with Barbara. I'm sorry.
-Robert.
"Mary!" The maid of honor, Mary's sister, Martha was knocking on the door, "Something's wrong! We can't find Robert anywhere!"
"You won't! He's not here!" She sobbed, "There's no wedding so everyone can just leave! Go back to New York with mom and dad!"

Mary returned to the house she was living in with Robert. It was one of the Chandler family's many houses, but now it was hers. She changed out of the wedding gown and put on her old silk robe. She went into Robert's study, a room she was never allowed in before, but it was her study now, she could enter it as she pleased.
She found an old trunk in the back of the room and curiosity got the best of her. It hadn't been opened in some time, the latch was covered in dust. She opened it up and saw nothing but some antiques, things Robert collected on his travels. A silver candlestick holder, a Pearl necklace, and a Viking helmet, among other things. She put the Viking helmet on, it was dusty, but it fit well. She looked in the mirror and couldn't help but laugh at how silly she looked. Something else caught her eye, partially under an old table cloth was a purple orb resting on a short staff. Something drew young Mary to the orb. She pulled it out and closed the box. She went to her bedroom and placed it in one of her drawers. She noticed she was still wearing the helmet so she placed that under her bed.

Over the next few days, the servants were working overtime to get all of Robert's worldly possessions in crates. They grabbed the old chest in the study and loaded it on the van. On the last day Robert showed up.
He found Mary in the study, sitting away from him in an old chair. "Mary."
"Robert."
"I'm sorry for this."
"Just go."
"I hope you can forgive me one day."
"Go!"
Robert realized he wasn't going to get anything else from here. "Goodbye Mary."
After all his stuff was gone and the servants left with him, Mary walked around her new house. Without Robert's possessions it was almost empty. Mary returned to her bedroom and opened the drawer. Robert thought he took everything, but he didn't know she took some things for herself. Wrapped in a blouse was the purple orb, and next to it was the Viking helmet. Robert had gone years without seeing these things, he wouldn't even notice they were gone, they were Mary's now.
About a year passed and Mary returned to work as a school teacher. She was doing fairly well for herself, the house now had furniture, a decent collection of books, and basic appliances. It was bland and empty for the giant house, but Mary had all she needed. She returned home from work after another day at school and lit the fireplace. She poured a glass of wine and sat down with the newspaper. On the stand next to her was the purple orb, she placed her hand on it and smiled before reading. She noticed in the paper Robert Chandler had announced he was to marry Barbara Weston. Furious, she threw the page into the fire. After Robert left her, she had given up on trying to find love again, she had a few men show interest in her, but she rejected them all.
Over two decades passed and Mary, now grey haired , still lived alone. Times had changed, she was able to get a doctorate, get a job at the local college, and work her way up to becoming dean. She was in her office going over the next dean's list when the CADD professor entered the room.
Dr. Menith was a large black man in a red shirt and a white hat, "Dean Walsh, I have a problem."
"What is it Kenny?"
"Christian Weston Chandler isn't doing well in my class, his designs don't meet up to the standards set by the department, I'm afraid I'm going to have to fail him."
Mary looked up from her paperwork, "Then fail him, I don't care how many buildings his father buys this campus, if he doesn't meet the college's standards, he should fail."
"If you say so, I'll fail him. There's another problem. A few of the female students I advise have complained of a sign he posts."
"What kind of sign?"
"A sign asking for a girlfriend. These girls find it creepy. Part of the sign also says" he paused, "no blacks."
"So, a racist sign that solicits the women here? Don't worry Kenny, I'll take care of it. Where is it?"
"It's next to the library."
Mary went to the green outside the library, there on a table with a poster was the son of the man that abandoned her at their wedding and broke her heart years ago.
"Mister Chandler! What is this?"
"Well, I thought the easiest way to find a boyfriend free girl is to make an attraction sign."
"This is extremely inappropriate! I can't have this on my campus!"
"Whatever witch, it's not like you ever found love."
Mary grabbed his sign and ripped it in half, "You'll never find a girlfriend this way. Or ever!"
"Wait until my father hears about this!"
"You're failing classes and propositioning women for sex, I should expel you!" Mary's phone went off. There was an attack on CWCville square. "Contact campus security now. Get all the students inside and lock all the doors." She hung up, "Mister Chandler! Get into the library now!"
Chris sighed and turned towards the library. As Mary was running back to administration, she noticed a rainbow shoot across the sky.
A few hours went by and everything was deemed all clear. Mary and the students went home.

A few days passed since the attack on CWCville, it was Sunday and Mary was in her study reading a book.
The room started shaking and everything went dark. Her stand was rattling, the purple staff almost fell down, but she caught it. When she held it it began to glow. It spoke to her.
"Finally I have been released."
"What, how, who are you?"
"I am Count Graduon."

While Chris-Chan Sonichu was known as the "Soldier/Warrior of Love and Honesty," Crystalina Rosechu had two counterparts to that;
"Soldier of Soul and Heart" (Issue 4, page 90)
"Warrior of Love and Hearts" (Issue 5, page 36)

Crystal Facts #2
Crystal became trapped in the Dark Mirror Hole in Sonichu #5, it's unknown if the pages were drawn in April, May, or June of 2006. Crystal was finally released in Issue 10, published in January of 2010. Crystal spent 3 years and 5-7 months in the Dark Mirror Hole.

Before her release in Issue 10, Patti Chan claims Crystal was able to communicate to her from the Dark Mirror Hole, (Issue 10, page 46) how she was able to or what the two talked about is never revealed.

Well I heard the person who did that decided to quit, thinking it was distasteful to continue.

While I also enjoyed the mini series, I honestly wanna see someone animate the actual comic... For some reason.

This has been the most in depth thing I've ever seen about Crystal.

Crystal did nothing wrong. Poor girl.

 

What really makes it sad is that, to Chris, Crystal is as real as you or me, existing in one of the infinite universes out there. A universe that Chris controls, since he refused to kill Simonla at first because she actually exists.
However,
I don't know if Chris really believes this, or if it was an excuse to not kill Simonla, why he never bothered writing Sonichu and Rosechu's wedding, Blake and Bubble's wedding, or Rosechu giving birth. "It's real," might be just a shitty excuse for what Chris doesn't do or doesn't want to do, an excuse that distracts you from the fact Chris is lazy, selfish, and stubborn. He didn't want to bother with Sonichu and Rosechu's wedding because he was too busy focusing on him and beating up his IRL rivals, and that wedding wasn't even about him!

 

Just chalk the lack of weddings to Chris being lazy. Sonichu was at first the adventure of a Sonic/Pokemon hybrid OC before being made into the mis-adventures of Chris with various "caricatures" of people he liked and disliked.

 

He'll just buy another one. Remember last time?

 

When I first found out about Chris-Chan becoming a Tomgirl, I was scared ALL the Sonichu characters would become trannies.

 

You have to remember that Sonichu & Rosechu are alive in their own universe and the comics are just snippets of their lives, they are still alive and active without the comic. S&R children all became tom girls and lesbians and that could have been a comic series unto itself, but no, it just happens in Chris' head.

 

Tbh I was super pissed that he never did anything for the weddings. It truly does give the feeling that Sonichu really did stop being about Sonichu and Chris really wanted Sonichu ( the comic ) to be about him.

I'm surprised he didn't change the comic name to "Chris-chan" or something just as self-centered jfc.
