So, when I started this thread I was playing a game I thought could fit into this, but I wanted to play it through to make sure, or if it was one of those kind of games that starts off great and then ends shit. As it turns out, I was really, really pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it...

That's right - one of 2016's "worst" games. Now to be fair, when it released it was in shit performance, with tons of loading issues and bugs that should have been ironed out beforehand. However, playing nearly a year after it's release with all the patches in place (plus all the DLC which was going for dirt cheap), this is honestly a really solid game. It still has its issues (it can be a bit tedious, and I did experience being clipped into the environment but that was like maybe twice out of a total of 20-ish hours of gaming), but it really doesn't deserve the amount of hate it deserves.

I love Ico, but it seems to get overlooked a lot. People seem to either have played Shadow of the Colossus or The Last Guardian and don't know about the first game. The ugly American boxart certainly does not help, though....

Far as underrated games go, I feel Wizardry 8 counts as one of them. Last game in its series (at least in countries that weren't Japan), it was the last hurrah for Sirtek. Playing the game and beating it a few times, I feel it's a solid CRPG.

This game (and the original homefront) are the spiritual successor to an actually good game. In homefront, they utterly ruined the entire concept of the game and broke it to pieces:

Frontlines deserves the praise, not homefront.

I think part of the reason people aren't into Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosey Rupeeland is that they just haven't heard of it. Tingle from Legend of Zelda is crazy popular in Japan, popular enough to get him his own spin-off game. American gamers apparently despise Tingle (not me, Tingle is the shit) so the game never got released in the states.
It's also very different from previous Zelda games due to the combat system, the fact that the whole game is revolving around trying to make barters with people to get more money, and the fact that your health and rupees are one in the same- which is to say, if you run out of rupees you die. Complicating this is that you have to pay a lot of rupees in order to progress in the game. It's such a cute and quirky game though.
And seriously, how can you not like the bridge builders?
