Drunk ass thought he's remaking The Wizard or some shit. Just have all the good games being wiped from history by an arch-nemesis from the future, call him the Happy, or Ecstatic, Video Game Nerd or something, who loves bad games, hates AVGN for giving his favorite rare games from the past bad press that never goes away on the internet and AVGN goes back to the past to stop him, wait, did I just write a better plot than ET was alien tech disguised as a shit game? I think I might have . . .

The review of the game only happens in the end.
The rest of the movie? A ridiculous, lame, convoluted plot about how secret military services are recalling the ET cartridges because the game was meant to be directly involved with mysterious extraterrestrial presence or something like that.
And AVGN being a very popular and loved celebrity in-universe, causing the creation of a sequel to the game.
Oh, and being a road movie where AVGN - who was almost always written as a loner character - hangs with two token sidekicks who are a black guy and a hipster girl to do... stuff... and some lame stuff about conspiracy, sci-fi and monsters.

It's a mess. An unfunny, convoluted, self-indulgent mess.

There are a few nice practical effects, though, like when the giant monster attacks model buildings.

If you want the review itself, James put the segment on YouTube for all to watch.
