Chris' inevitable death discussion thread

It's starting to look like Chris' death is once again a very real possibility. Chris' terrifying description of how his new "vagina" was profusely bleeding is not a good sign for him.

Barb will mummify inside the house with her hoard, because Chris will aleady be dead by then.

 

It's inevitable at this point. Gross and inevitable.

 

So what does it mean for us as a forum?

 

I think the predictions of death are perhaps a little early. People live and muddle along for longer with much worse conditions/wounds. In the scheme of things that's not a particularly large abcess, horrible as it may be.
I think my main concern, if I was the medical professional charged with examining that thing, would be the fact that it is completely open, allowing bacteria right into the wound itself. It really needs to be debrided and packed, and antibiotics probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
I hope (in vain?) that he visits a healthcare provider soon and gets it sorted before it potentially becomes more serious, but I think he is worried that they will 'take his vagina away', and poor deluded Chris does not want this to happen.

 

I think chris's rotting taint shall grow till it engulfs him and barb and then gradually swallows the rest of the hoard

With the hygiene, tainthole, ‘tism and assorted other maladies Chris has, I feel like he’s going to live forever, simply because this:

 

"You're not immortal, even the slightest gust of wind cou-"
Chris walks out not paying attention.

 

There is the issue that this large open wound is directly by his ass leading to some inevitable infection.

 

He's certainly not at optimal health, but I'm not quite sure he's exactly at death's door.

It's still a relatively small abcess. It certainly won't get better without treatment, and it's certainly already infected, but he's not seriously ill yet.

I'm sure even Chris would realise if he started running a fever of over 100 degrees, and that would lead him to see a doctor. Am I being optimistic?

 

Maybe just a bit. Chris has it in his head this is a vagina and doesn't want it to go away. So he doesn't want to risk it.

 

A smart doctor would tell him the antibiotics are hormone pills.

 

Chris will live a long life because that's just how a universe with no justice works.
