ABoatsABoat - The Adventures of Diaper Boy

Remember Greatest Freakout Ever and McJuggerNuggets? Those videos of kids freaking out that you wanted to believe were real but had to concede were fake? What if there was a kid who actually freaked out like that? The answer came in the form of ABoatsABoat.

The story behind this is that Jeff (the guy who filmed the videos) was asked by his brother Christopher's therapist to film his brother's destructive tantrums. However, eventually Jeff started outright provoking Christopher into freaking out and uploading the results to YouTube for the world to laugh at. Some of these can be seen below:







Unfortunately, almost as soon as this started it all went wrong. Jeff uploaded a video of his mum slapping Christopher across the face:



Some moral crusader saw this and reported the video to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. They confirmed that the strike counted as assault against a child and Christopher was put in a temporary home. The last anyone heard from Jeff was that he was awaiting an audience with the Police to confirm whether he'd be charged with a hate crime. This was his last broadcast:



What's so tantalising about this whole thing is how abruptly it ended and how all the videos disappeared from the internet. Some have been re-uploaded as you've seen, but I'm sure there are more missing (I only discovered all this stuff long after it had happened so I can't confirm). Incidentally, if you want to download any of the videos I've linked above, please do. Who knows how long they'll be up for. And what happened to everyone involved? Did Christopher end up with a new family? Did his behaviour improve? He'd be 16 years old now so one would hope. Was Jeff arrested? What happened to him? No-one's been able to find any trace of him on the internet since.

These are burning questions that may never be answered. So until then feel free to speculate about the legend that was ABoatsABoat.

 

I just did a quick google search and read the ED article about the whole incident my God that's hilarious. I know what I'll be viewing tonight.

 

I know basically nothing about Canada so I have this mental image of mounties on horseback bursting into Jeff's home to arrest him by order of the King of Canada.

 

Oh man this kid. I just can't fathom how hard this kid rages in a diaper like it's no big deal.

 

to name a kid chris is to lay a hex on him.

like cwc, this kid, fatman, there are more that don't immediately come to mind. but it's like naming a girl 'brandy', nothing good will ever come of it.
