    I'm pretty sure the foot injury was the cat version of trying to slit its own wrists to avoid being around Chris and Barb.

    I do like that Chris feels he doesn't have to justify his expenses while begging people for money. I'm sure that'll keep the cash flowing in.

    Well, he noticed, but Sorbet (probably said with a hard "t") didn't let Chris touch him because who would? Cats will get comfortable around people they trust. They'll cuddle with you or bring you things and whatnot, but this cat was in serious pain and still actively avoided Chris. Poor thing.

    I'm also betting that something in the hoard was responsible for the injury. Cats die in hoards all the damn time because they like to climb and objects like to fall.

    I sometimes wonder how many random animal corpses were immolated when 14BLC burned. The inner portions of hoards are disgusting, depressing places.
