I'm just wondering what sort of rebuttal Chris will have for that.

 

We need more ingreidents in our queer sandwhich. There's a lot of discourse on the inclusion of avocado

 

Avocados, just like asexuals, don't belong in sandwiches. Or food for that matter

 

Maybe nothing, this might have hurt his feelings, or he is not paying attention due to something else holding his attention.

 

Another rare example of Chris making a positive contribution to society.

What was it I said about post 13 generally being golden on this site? It holds up here too.

Insisting on having a separate term for being gay while female, and then one for being gay but still straight at the same time, were its first two mistakes. Since then, people have just piled their own pet projects onto it one after another and fight about which ones to include.

 

After all this, I'm starting to question the purpose of an LGBTQAIASDFGHJKL community when it means everyone's represented but straight people.
Chris does the selfless act of including straight people in the community, not just as allies, but as fellow members, equal to everyone else but the triggered don't want them because "you don't have our experience"...

Then again, it seems they never are.

 

So in an ideal world we wouldn't need special queer-only spaces or whatever because no one will give a shit about this stuff and everyone is actually, truly equal. But until then being able to make spaces for people to be safe and be able to share those experiences. There are straight people (like straight trans people) and cis people (like cis gay dudes) are in queer spaces but, you know, there something else. Being just cis and straight and all that you're just an ally. You can help and learn but coming in and telling us what to do is a douche move, you know?

Also historically we used the term queer instead of the ever-expanding alphabet soup; this was what people used both in the community and in academic contexts. Then people started using it as a slur and then fucksticks like TERFS are saying that we can't reclaim the word. But queer works for people who are multiple letters (hi) or don't know exactly what they are yet. It's a good, simple term for solidarity.

I think queer is returning back to it's original meaning. I thought that the SJWs were using it wrong or something.

 

Yeah no prob. I don't expect a lot of people to know about the deepest lore of queer history so the sudden inclusion of the Q definitely can be confusing.

 

Especialy when chris gets ahold of it.

 

I think the LGBTQ community has a good message, they want to be treated as equals even though they might prefer their own sex, feel like they are the opposite sex and so on. Sadly it got derailed big time by wannabes who claim to be oppressed. This led to its detractors having more ammo to use against the LGBTQ community who is unsure whether these fakers are really what they say they are or not.

 

So will Chris retcon the whole "Homo Vaccine from the Future" or has his laziness hit a whole new low?

 

Speaking as a bi-sexual, I looked at all of the additions which had been apparently added to the LGBT thing and I thought it was a bit ridiculous. To put it in context, it's like if someone made a group for bronies, sonic fans, furries and scalies and called it BSFS, then people kept bringing up other fetishes and fandoms until it eventually became BSFSFFGFR&MUTTAAAT+.

I mean, at some point even the people in the community have to admit that it's become a bit of a joke. LGBT+ would have done nicely, you don't need the extra letters. Plus, the last thing the LGBT community needs is to give people another reason to mock us.

 

He already did. He retconned it to "Nombie-Zazis" when he revised Sonichu 10.

I think it's a universal problem for all groups that want equal treatment. A few shitheads spoil it for everyone
