    Being a sex worker implies that one is ever paid for sexual acts. There is no reason for Phil to be eating garbage except by choice. It's really not a surprise that he does that, though.

    Yeah, I must be behind on this. I didn't know he was claiming to be a prostitute.

    Plus, Phil posts pictures of himself gorging on imported blocks of cheese and Jarritos sodas that he buys with his food stamps and autism bux. He's not a good candidate to use "economic" and "reality" in the same sentence.

    He claimed to be a sex worker once long ago, and that he would only be serving LatinX clients. I think he just brought it up because something triggered a memory of that lie.

    I think his eating from dumpsters is as much of a lie as his new escort business.

    He gets food stamps, right? I don't really know how that whole system works, but he can only spend that on food, surely?

    Yes. SNAP benefits can only be spent on food, and can't even be used at restaurants. For a single person with a reasonable sense of how to budget it's often enough to get by. Phil probably shops at Whole Foods and buys their expensive shit as self-care, blowing through his benefits in no time at all. I still doubt he dumpster dives, though.
