I think GamerGate was _the_ moment that kicked off these seemingly endless "culture wars".

Whether it was started by SJWs or anti-SJWs, both groups end up coming off as autist. Yeah, wanting a game to just be fun is totally a nazi dog whistle and a gay rat wedding is totally out to corrupt the kids. I just want to play vidya gaems dammit. I don't care about nu-Ra being some SJW shit or how a game about a blacksmith's son becoming a knight is racist shit because no black people.

All that said, it may as well of kickstarted the culture wars and regardless of whatever stances I have then or now and regardless of spergs saying it was to oppress women or how it was out to change gaming journalism's corruption, it all ended up being some autistic shit. Gotta like how some can't leave its corpse alone though for clickbait articles or how it ties to Trump.

In Current Year, it seems politics are shoved into everything. I miss the time before that.

It was. And then we get people who have to rant on how saying "no politics" must be a Nazi dog whistle or how Arthur having a gay episode will corrupt the youth. The only way to make it more insane is how many people could agree with it because "REEEE CHUDS/CUCKS!!!1111"

At least this crap seems to be pretty much just a Western thing. For now at least.

If it ever reaches a place like China or Japan or Russia, I'd imagine it'd either be a slow burn or it doesn't make much space.
