When did you discover Chris?

I knew about Chris and the Cwki since I guess about 2012. I didnt really care too much about him besides the classic youtube content. I do recall him coming back in 2014 with the lego manchester high video but i didnt really start following his youtube until he started producing content more regularly. I made a facebook account finally and followed him, and in early 2016 i discovered kiwifarms which gave me a place to talk about him.

 

2015 when i used knowyourmeme, i thought that sonichu was something actually good that now everyones hates now, but it just was a reflect of the tales of chris

 

Right before I graduated from college in 2010. This creepy guy I once knew on Flickr posted the pic of Chris in Barbara's underwear.

 

For me, probably early 2014, from a podcast that delved into the subject of autism and it impact on anime fandom that brought up Chris Chan in passing. There might've been another episode around that same time that mentioned him as well and I got curious about how morbid this guy sounded like.

Around the time I discovered /b/ ~summer 2007

 

I think I've discovered Christ around 2008. I was intrigued by a bunch of videos on that seemed to feature him "Nicholas Cage Wants Cake". Where Cages loses his shit and laughs like a maniac at things drawn in front of him like "Clown" shirt Chris with an angry Sonicchu. I tried a search of "Fat guy striped shirt, yellow rat", and the rest is Christory. I remember I was in China (the real place) when his house burnt down.. Infact I credit Chris' life story to get myself back into school to avoid being like him embittered about abuses from bullies, manajerks, teachers, etc etc. it's not that Chris's lifestyle is condemnable it's how he uses it to justify his behavior such as destroying the economic fruits of a business of actually harming people.

Q2 2010. Early days of the content black-out.

Oddly enough, while I remember WHEN I found out about Lolcow-Prime, I can't for the life of me remember HOW it happened. ED led to Cwcki, but I have no idea how I found ED and the CWC article in the first place.

 

I found Chris through Brendaniel's reading of Sonichu. In turn, I got there from My Immortal. That must have been late 2015. I would browse the CWCki obsessively for ages but only really discovered the Farms in the last few months of its life.

I found Chris maybe 3 to 2 years ago??? Not sure. It's after I discovered Akai Dalia or whatever on DA and then it lead me to seeing Videos on Sonichu. At first I watched DStecks "review" it and then it escalated to me discovering Chris-chan themself and the CWCKI. I've been hooked on it since.

 

I've been following him back when Encyclopedia Dramatica was still big; 2007 or 2008. It was around the time the Megan saga was coming to an end, and Chris was retaliating against 4chan and ED. Started lurking the farms after the pepper spray incident.

 

I'd been seeing references to Chris and many other lolcows on Encyclopedia Dramatica back in 2007 and 2008. I never clicked his page in particular for many years though.

Eventually I read a few references to him on TVTropes in 2011, made a fan comic, and got directed to the CWCki.

As for Chris, I started at the very beginning, so I was more familiar with Classic Chris. I think during the time I knew about him he hadn't released any videos besides the one where he was showing off his Legos set at McDonalds with Barb recording him. Everyone was in a tizzy. I thought I had been witness to the return of a legend.

And then Chris became a grocery bag lady with dried seaweed hair begging for toys.
