Can't remember what "funny" shit I said in the KF thread, I said something kinda amusing though.

I'm just waiting for the pirate of this film so I don't have to walk to a theater/rent or buy DVD for this. Or just wait until the Kiwi Far--- I mean CWCki club movie night to show it.

Let's this sink in with the Emoji movie: this thing was apparently put up for a bid. Sony won this movie in a bid against two other companies. Three big name companies (Warner Bros., Paramount, and Sony) were bidding on this and Sony walked away as the winner of it.

    Edit: Here's the source

What's that bit Patton Oswalt does about that shlock film, Death Bed?

It's like: Character designers punched the clock to translate two-dimensional throwaway phone icons into 3-D models for The Emoji Movie.

They will hire a composer and wrangle musicians to write sixty, seventy minutes of music to underscore the emotional highs and lows of The Emoji Movie.

They will rent a recording studio with a full complement of staff and catering to oversee the crystalline capture of the script of The Emoji Movie.

James Corden's agent looked at the script and said, "It's worth a few working hours of my client's time to lend his voice to The Emoji Movie." And James Corden said, "I agree, agent, I will sign on to lend my voice to The Emoji Movie."

Oh, this festering pile of feces. When I first saw the trailer I genuinely thought it was a joke. But I slowly realized that it was not. And then I heard the words, "our first movie". . . . which implies a sequel. Possibly more than one. I hope this bombs. I hope this bombs so hard Monster Trucks will look like a god damn masterpiece.

Sounds like OPL trying to cure his autism...let's guess, the movie ends with the emoji realizing that he likes being a special snowflake.... Yes, just like OPL.

A lot of my neighbors are super hyped for this for some reason. Looks like it's going to do well with the Stay-At-Home suburban mom crowd.

Well, on the bright side this may actually get Sony to lose enough money to just give up on making movies, since I just can't see this concept doing well... not that it's going to stop them from dumping money into stupid attempts at promotion.
