Oh my god it's been that long?

 

Remember when Chris was so sure the Love Quest would be over soon after it began?

 

Remember when Bob would shout at Chris until he curled up into a ball on the floor. Good times.

 

Too bad there’s not video of that. It would be a classic for sure.

Not quite the way Chris wanted it though.

In Chris' childish mind all those years ago, he probably thought that by now there'd be a Sonichu cartoon on TV, a Sonichu video game in the stores, and Sonichu toys at McDonald's. That Sonichu would be a franchise as big as Sonic.

Chris also thought that by now, he'd be a "house husband" to an Aryan supermodel waifu, and there'd be their daughter Crystal -- a name which "Lovely Weather" would somehow be perfectly OK with.

But of course, reality seemed to have other plans.

 

I'd normally bitch about how he's been ignoring the comic, but since it's been dominated by pony shit and Idea Guy shit, it's been especially shitty even by Sonichu standards.

 

Not to mention having an "office job".

We'll have to remind ourselves it's never going to be that big at all, hopefully not on a corporate level.

 

That's what we said about The Room, Wesley Willis and Hunt Down The Freeman. Corporations will sell anything if there's even a small profit to be made.

 

Perhaps, but I feel like Sonichu alone is a bit too on the nose in terms of being rather bleak commentary on excessive commercialism and brand loyalty taken to unhealthy levels. Much like you've already said, this would only really appeal to certain people, rather than what Chris may have had in mind (children).
