    Late to the party but I
    went to prep school in New England
    and they were definitely a thing in the upstate CT/MA/RI/NH/ME hellholes.
    I also have a decent confirmation that they're a thing in Nova Scotia, (and again, Maine) courtesy of an episode of Trailer Park Boys.
    They're never going to be visually appealing, healthy or picture worthy, but they can be really good. Take it for what it's worth.

    I don't think he lied about cooking the burger. He just posted an example pic of a Hot Hamburger Plate instead of taking his own, probably because he ate it before he realized he wanted to post about it. He has cooked before, stuff like Blue Apron meals or Thanksgiving dinner.

    Still he should've said the photo wasn't what he ACTUALLY made to begin with. That would've been the end of it.

    1: Go to Mcdonalds.
    2: Order Cheese Burger & Fries.
    3: Dispose of top bun (by eating it).
    4: Pour Gravy over everything else.
