Twitter 3/7 - Chris rants about Cole

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...Not....exactly. Ive seen a couple of them and the ones ive seen , he just seems like a sort of..Overly confident artsy douche who has no idea what hes talking about. He seems to pretend to be much more cultured than he appears, but i could be wrong.

Actually, this was pretty good

 

Anyone who writes the following statement unironically (plus the whole "Smartest Film Critic in the World" bit) is the kind of insufferable idiot who would describe themselves as an "intellectual" any chance they got:

"'Wild Strawberries' is a thematically abundant film that fluidly condenses a lifetime's worth of experience into succinct cinematic fragments under Ingmar Bergman's complex construction of abstract corollaries." - Cole

 

His reviews are like watching an ambitious guitar player perform arpeggios just a bit too complicated for him. He gets far too adventurous with words when you consider what his writing capabilities would support.

It's just kind of awkward when you're in your twenties. In your forties or fifties...It's a little bit deeper.

 

Decent. Not good.

 

Translation: Give us ummmmmmm donations now now now now now now now now now now now now now now now now.

 

Pretty soon, he'll mistake himself for Cole.

 

The few I read was okay. I've read more and he seems to me to be... an "Overly confident artsy douche who has no idea what hes talking about"

 

He did like this film a lot
