    The closer one gets to perfection, the more obvious the faults become.

    In the case of Chris, he's so far away from perfection that there are virtually no faults that really stick out.

    So, maybe the shirt has a point.

    My guess is they complained he got one of their names wrong (he says Jessie instead of James in the original). Maybe he was thinking of the Team Rocket characters and got confused?

    Also, "Fraun and James" bought a video from Chris a year ago - https://sonichu.com/cwcki/January_2017_Paid_Video_Requests . It was also about their anniversary. Why are they making this a tradition?
