What are you playing right now?

Played some Mordhau earlier today and honestly, its horde mode is the only reason why I play. It's not gonna be some toxic player spamming chat with slurs or whatever since I never bother with deathmatches and duels since I feel like everyone else manages to get in hit in while I play on par with Darksyde Phil but I do enjoy playing horde mode and I wish that it was like For Honor in having its own story mode, even if it was short as fuck. I do hate grinding for gold since the devs make shit expensive and I'd have to wait for the holidays to get the gold boost. I just want to make a fat merc wearing clashing styles of plate armor mow down hordes of knights with nothing but a pole-hammer.

Knowing how Skyrim can be without even one mod like the unofficial patches, I gotta ask: what mods do you run with and recommend? I never bother much beyond racemenu, a hair pack, and unofficial patches and the main quest and combat for Skyrim are pretty meh even compared to Morrowinds combat and Oblivions main quest.

I legit thought he had some modded hair style until I realized that was just a regular hood and not some crappy Leon Kennedy style haircut.

 

Grinded a bit in Mordhau to unlock some more armor pieces. Grindy as that can be, at least the devs have you work for this rather than making it overpriced that you have to buy from microtransactions. Granted it has DLC but the shit's pretty much nothing more than cosmetic like any other game and besides, armor beyond the "tier" in protection is cosmetic.

Brief example in what I unlocked and trying out different pieces and honestly, this more or less made my list in favorite armor styles just in how far I could go in customizing how my suit goes. Devs have yet to implement codpieces though which I can imagine would bring its own flavor of shitposters in a deathmatch or a horde run.

Oh good God the Romance Mod. I remember seeing a video of it played by a guy who did videos on crappy Skyrim mods. Never forgetting the creator of that mod going into say how the video was technically outdated because of improvements, not that they were any better if making the "love interest" now sound like serial killer. And it still doesn't excuse it all ripping characters from Neverwinter Nights 2. Please be sure to have Bishop beheaded.

Still playing Breath of the Wild. Partly because it's an absolute time sink of a game.

 

Revisited Morrowind to see how it was, and I can never forget the greatest thing I had done in the game: a room to rival CWC in cluttered shit and only a few items are artifacts, the rest is just various mid tier to high tier armor pieces. I will take the time to try out again the Russian mod for it known as EMBA 5. Why a Russian mod? This entire video I'll leave here to unabashedly shill will explain it all.

 

I have started my Nth playthrough of Skyrim this month.

Whenever I get into this game I generally have to complete it before I get tired of it. I do all of the quests except for the repeating "radiant" ones that NPC's can give you in each town, find all of the enchanted loot, put everything on the map, learn every dragon word, get every artifact, you name it. I literally complete the game. I play on PC so I install some mods to spruce the game up, usually some HD texture packs and things like realistic water physics and all that. Just things to make the game look better.

 

Also in SE, I found a procedural solar system with just one planet: an airless cratered rocky world around 2 blue suns.

Which is unusual because procedural systems usually have a minimum of 5 planets.

(yet again in that one procedural galaxy over 20 billion light years away)

 

Played the demo of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. It was fun to play except for boss fights because the game take some notes from Sekiro in posture breaking and the reliance on timing deflections which to be honest for me, is a skill issue and I got shit timing. Shame too because I like the Chinese aesthetic it goes for with using the Three Kingdoms.

 

Another wat find in SE: a ringed terran planet with life, 2 major moons, and a ~12 hour day.

So night on that procedural world is only ~6 hours long.

(that planet is around the edge of the observable universe to this planet)

 

Playing Clozemaster right now, I am on level 63 already and it has only been a week.

 

(also a blue-aqua-ish nebula almost 390 light years away is visible from that fast-day-world)

 

Played Deadly Premonition on PC. A glorious disaster port of a game that makes me want to take it slow this time on a second play-through after beating it almost ten years ago for the first time.

Gave the RE4 Remake a go and I'm having some fun out of it. Fuck the ganado wolves and bear traps though, they just annoying as fuck.
