one big takeaway from being unable to buy a physical copy due to the steep price is that scalpers are the fucking worst.

 

Graphically speaking, I put it down to the art style. Had they gone for any sort of realism, the game would look like complete shit now. The draw distance is also pretty damn impressive.

 

That and Pissed Off Video Gamer didn't have a forum post bemoaning the lack of a foreskin and creeping on a chick like a truly obsessed stalker that would have cops stepping in.

TBH, what can you expect from bootlegs whose biggest takeaway with AVGN was just screaming something "this sucks Buffalo shit" and thinking that'd all be enough.

 

Been playing Oblivion again by trying out two popular mods within the fandom: Better Cities and Unique Landscapes. After playing with them for a brief moment, I will say that I could not buy into the hype with either one. Former just feels like quantity over quality on top of throwing in some shit voice acting for some NPCs while the latter does feel nice but some kinda felt hit or miss on top of teasing me with something interesting only to not follow up such as an abandoned prison being nothing more than eye candy, some abandoned adobe huts leading up to nothing except maybe being nice for anyone doing screenshots, and a "dark spooky forest" with a ruined village amounting to nothing. Honestly makes me feel like the modders would of been better off making some rando ass villages with farms that have crops or farm animals or have some fishermen to do fishing. At least then it'd feel like they actually would help feed a small city. Combat still feels like it's better than Skyrim though at least in swinging a weapon and having an impact.

Overwatch 2 is actually really good, to bad ActivisionBlizzards greed brings it down so much.

 

Sucks how StarCraft 2 was split into 3 different games.

It'd be like making 3 separate games instead of the original StarCraft.

 

Subnautica helped me chill out during the early days of the pandemic. I would just put it on the easy level and build a cool undersea house.

How much has the game changed since then?

 

I gotten a new PC built and since it took most of the evening getting some games installed, I played Cyberpunk 2077 for a few minutes on higher settings. I'm starting to see how it looks nice but RTX still feels overblown at least when it comes to framerate since I'm running it all on a 6700XT.

I play many, but lately I’ve rediscovered how much fun multiplayer Project Zomboid is.

The latest flight simulator is also a pretty good game for relaxing and playing music.

Somehow (SOMEHOW), I've managed to find a physical copy with an english patch on Amazon for 30 dollars (very cheap for such a product), and it works completely fine; plays just as it should.
I don't know how this managed to exist on a site like Amazon and not just some dark web site, but hey, it's a great game anyways, so thanks, Jeff Bezos!

Also, I'm not sure why people wank so hard to Final Fantasy VII. Is it because Cloud and Tifa really just need to fuck and get it over with?

 

It's not a bad game. I don't hate it, but I'm definitely "meh" about it. I think the remake graphics are like 95% of the reason I haven't given up on it, but I'm just not getting into it. I don't feel as invested as I did with other Final Fantasy games. I'm going to keep playing it, because it's pretty and to get it over with (since I never actually finished playing the original.)
