Since this is the CWCki club and all, why not talk about the CWCki.

Constructive criticism is a good way to walk towards improving it, so why not talk about the things you don't like about it?

I'll start by saying that it can come off as overly negative at times. Now I realize that's part of the whole point, to make fun of Christian Weston Chandler and exaggerate the many negatives for comedic effect.

However at time it borders on A-Logging.

The most A-Loggy things that stands out to me is in documentation of the Miyamoto Saga where Chris' refusal to raise money for the trip to Nintendo is mocked. When in reality, putting aside the fact that Shigeru Miyamoto was not actually the one sending the emails a company as big as Nintendo realistically WOULD arrange transportation for a prospective business partner for a project of that calibur.

Meaning Chris demanding to be flown out to Washington and having an arranged meeting instead of spending money to fly out there and just barge in the door at a random time and date, is actually intelligent all things considered. It moreso means he actively realized something was off, demanded an explanation for the thing that was off, and honed in on it (That Nintendo wouldn't fly a client they themselves invited to work on the Pokemon Series) instead of doing something crazy like sell all his shit to fly out himself; which is in my opinion, not something that makes the most sense to mock him for.

Imagine if he had made the trip to Washington, imagine the dark outcomes that could have come from him actually going. He flies to Washington, Nintendo has no idea what he's talking about, and now he's stuck in Washington state with no way to get back home. Might even spend a few days in jail depending on if Chris tardraged at Nintendo claiming to have no knowledge of him.

But that's just my opinion, it's possibly that I'm a loser that I suck big juicy dicks.

What's your opinion my good chum? Is there a part of the CWCki that jumps out at you as kinda dumb?

ngl the entire cwcki itself feels like it overstayed it's welcome. as I've expressed before, chris is kind of a dead lolcow. I appreciate it being up for historical sake, but, chris is simply not noteworthy anymore. and watching the "recent edits" page feels silly watching the few obsessed editors tweak this and that for no real audience except us old loons who even still bother to remember who chris is anymore.

I don't mean this passive-aggressively so don't take it as such, but, if you do have problems with the cwcki, you should try signing up and becoming the change you want to see. I don't do that, because chris is dead and the cwcki is virtually irrelevant at this point, simply serving as a mecca for the few who are truly devoted to this dumb autistic shit now, lmao. I'm guilty of keeping up with it out of a decade-long habit and sheer boredom, but I'm kinda surprised there are people honest-to-god still maintaining the cwcki. like, honestly this shit should be frozen as a time capsule and just left as-is as a representation of the golden years. Actually, it reminds me of how the author of Forumwarz still keeps the site up, as a time capsule for how the internet used to be, even if they're honestly ashamed of having made it. video of that statement.

I do wonder if Chris's life has any crazy turns left in it. We've all been surprised before when we thought Chris was a "dead lolcow."

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if this was "the end" for real. I can't help but feel this is the best outcome that could happen for Chris given the circumstances. He has at least one person who does actually seem to like him (Flutter) and he's not doing anything stupid enough to get the internet's attention. If all goes well, Chris will fade into obscurity until he dies. He's not a good person, but I can't help but feel a little glad for him now that most of this bullshit is (probably) behind him.

Whenever I think about Chris-Chan these days, it prompts nostalgic reflection. I came very late to the party, but I look back fondly on obsessively absorbing CWCki pages, marveling at the stupidity of weens, shitposting about the Dimensional Merge with people you could tell secretly wanted it to happen, (don't blame them, tbh) watching the insanity of the incest scandal in real time, reading The Annotated Sonichu, even interacting with a couple of figures involved with Chris through discord, (I don't recommend it) all that shit.

When it's finally done being updated, I really hope the CWCki is preserved for future generations. Chris and the figures in his life are genuinely fascinating to learn about, and it serves as a window into a very different era of internet culture, even if "Christory" (Can't tell if I love or hate that word) is over.

I wonder what we should all take away from this. It's weirdly thought-provoking. Is it a cautionary tale about desperation for petty e-fame? The dangers of refusing to grow up? Are we bad people for gawking at all this?

I'd go on but I think I've derailed this enough. Maybe I'll make a thread asking what people took away from all this.

All I know is, it's been seven years, and there's still no sign of cartoon characters and furries entering our reality. I'm beginning to suspect that the Dimensional Merge isn't actually real.

What we learned is that next time we see someone looking for True & Honest Love and a Kind, Caring, WHITE, Smoke-Free, Boyfriend-Free Girl to turn into a Sweetheart from the Ground-Up, that we need to try even HARDER to SHATTER THEIR HEART AND SOUL TO 0% so they can NEVER FIND TRUE LOVE AGAIN. #TrueLoveIsILLEGAL

In a very weird and sort of perverse way, i think Chris Chan has indirectly added more to the world then he's taken away when you describe his life like this. Chris himself is a gross, nasty incestuous rapist who's hurt way more people then he's helped in life, but the impact he's had online has created communities, even friendships and relationships around shared knowledge of him. I like to think that, through the Cwiki at least, Chris has brought more good to the world then bad. Or i'm looking at it in a really weird way and i was stupid and gay to bring it up to begin with.

The Cwiki has frequent and long-lasting outages, it needs way better looking after so it can be accessed most days.

Chris got caught up in the height of the ED days where the internet being mainstream was relatively new, people were just getting used to seeing how much people overshared online, and people were now seeing how this was so abundant yet so untouched that you could essentially make virtual freakshows out of these groups of people.
Chris didn't quite start it, but he did become the icon of it. Ironically, after being so obsessed with all things generic, marketable, and cartoonish, Chris became what he ate, and he became the perfect abstract representation of a lolcow - sex obsessed, but also without even knowing what sex was. Racist and political, but without even knowing anything about politics. When prodded, he would quite literally dance for the audience. He was delusional, but not for the typical reasons someone might be where they date themselves with specific conspiracy theories, he was delusional entirely as a personal character trait, like a Family Guy character. He was the perfect lolcow, he appealed to everyone and no one all at once.
And the timing was everything. This was back in the day when people genuinely just did things for fun. Now that literally every aspect of life is monetized and prepackaged into predictable formats, someone like Chris can never happen again. Even Chris himself got caught up in this as he turned into yet another generic streamer.

So, I don't think Chris quite literally caused all these CWC-focused communities as much as he did simply act as an emanation for this general era of the internet, and now acts as it's patron saint or mascot animal, both for being so mythical as well as being downright generic enough to become a vague description of what a lolcow is in itself.

Which itself is impressive as he really should be on a blacklist or something for raping his mom, but too many people either don't care or believe "Trolls made that up"

I don't like how the CWCki seems to repeatedly conflate copying itself with stealing. And so-called plagiarism* is lying about who made what, rather than "stealing" intangible content itself.

    * (plagiarism is derived from a word meaning kidnapping hence the "so-called")

I was not aware people went around making edits that are simply to add the word "retarded" in lmao.
