Stephanie Foster VHS Lost media?

Last week I visited a 'junk shop' and picked up a few VHS tapes. I really didnt find anything too interesting other than some recordings of 60 minutes and MTV stuff. The last tape in the pile had no label, I thought it was blank but I popped it in just in case.

Sure enough it had something on it.

The screen faded into a scene with a blue screen in the backround with a girl talking to a grover puppet. (this video was taken in the 70s how I know will be explained below) The puppet clearly wasnt voiced by the original actor. Only grovers mouth moves during the video his arms are not attached to anything. Despite this however the puppet still looks like an authentic grover. Grover asks the girl her name and she introduces herself as Stephanie Foster and claims she is seven years old. The two banter until a man in a nice suit walks on. Stephanie says hi to him and addresses him as 'Foster'. Foster eventually leaves the screen leaving the two to their improved banter. Puppets come on and off all voiced by the same actor, some of the puppets look professionally made while others look like store bought toys.

No logos or watermarks can be seen and it is clearly improved which leads me to believe this was never aired

Eventually the clip ends and another one comes on. Stephanie is here again with Grover. However this time Stephanies hair is longer and she looks a bit older. Grover asks Stephanie about her Fathers work with tv. Another puppet comes on and is shocked to find out Stephanie's father is 'Foster'. Grover asks what shows 'Foster' Works on and Stephanie faces away from the camera to tell him, sadly I was unable to understand what she said since she did not face the camera. Grover reminds her she needs to face the camera, Stephanie faces the camera but she doesnt bring up 'Foster' Again. The foolish banter continues with puppets coming and going. Eventually the camera begins to spin around, a poster of "the space odyssey" can be seen aswell as stacks of binders and notes on the wall.

Eventually the clip ends and switches to a recording of a news broadcast of the NYC marathon. This clip is exactly how it sounds.

I am really unsure what this footage is and why it was recorded. Possibly Stephanie was auditioning for television? Maybe this was a gift from her father?

Personally I believe this clip was from the 1970s because the NYC marathon recording is of the 1975 Marathon (the date is not mentioned but I googled the names to confirm it was from 1975), The clothing Stephanie is wearing looks like it is from the 1970s and at one point she sings a Stevie Wonder song

Finally for those who are interested I will archive and upload this tape to youtube as soon as I get a DVD-RW. This will not be long, expect this tape to be uploaded within a week. This tape certainly is a mystery but it could very well be nothing of real importance, but after all NO shit is TOO minor!

 

Sounds like an audition or just a cute little effort this person's father did for her if he had a job, possibly working on Sesame Street or such, probably originated in the NY area since the show was/is taped there.

 

Possibly, what makes it even stranger is the fact that Stephanie claims shes from Ontario.
I dont think this is anything rare or too exiting but It certainly was interesting to find

 

And that would make sense given what is presented.
