SONIC IS DEAD! (the Archie Comic actually)

Just noticed this vid and reminded myself why I never started with that mess!

 

You can only go so far, apparently this comic does hold a record for the longest continuing comic publication based on a licensed property, according to Guinness.

 

I just want to bring up the fact that the comic at one point had this.

How ironic that the Archie comics stop during the same year as Sonic Mania.

 

Obviously Sega's left in the dark here, unless they tried negotiating rights with another company like IDW and make a clause that states only to use their approved characters from the games and nothing else.

 

But yeah, this is one Sonic game that isn't getting printed love.

 

I thought Archie comics were going out for a moment before I opened this thread.

 

Sometimes you can't kill a juggernaut that easily, though maybe if people stopped buying those digests at the supermarket checkout counters...

 

One more nail in the coffin for the franchise, and I am sure chris does not care.

 

Probably more he doesn't even notice, and won't notice until a ween or one of his whiteknights points it out to him.

 

Chris doesn't come off like a comic person otherwise.

 

True, you'd be hard pressed to find any posts or videos from him where he mentions reading or liking any comics, I think.

 

Or if he had a collection of Archie Sonic's hidden away somewhere he wasn't sure what to do with.

 

Nah, he'd have done some kind of creepy fan-art of himself with Betty and Veronica if he did.

 

Well at least it's healthier than drawing furry porn!

Oh yes, I'd love that!

At least it wasn't a case of Cole having a stash of Archie's that Chris ended up with like what my brother did to me! I never got rid of those!
