    She does talk a lot about My Immortal and 2000s fandom shit a lot, very interesting channel

    The whole fiasco with the girl who pretended to be a Native American in foster care, writing My Immortal to somehow reconnect with her family, was such a weird thing to watch play out back when it was happening.

    A part of me feels kind of glad about that fact. I feel like the work would lose a lot of its mystique if it were to have a true author revealed.

    I have to agree though, I think it is best if the author remains mysterious. That is part of the appeal of the fanfiction in that nobody knows who wrote it
