So due in part to me having a crisis of faith and in part to Youtube's new policy regarding age restriction.

Basically they're gonna start looking through the videos you watch, guessing your age based on that, and if they guess under 18 you have to give up personal information in order to get your account unrestricted. So hey, good time to look up something that isn't Old Cartoons and Gaming Trivia so Youtube thinks I'm mentally as old as I am physically.

I've been looking up religious videos on Youtube, mostly Apologists of Christianity and Atheism.

It's actually been not that great, and I'd say why, but I've written and erased more rants on how garbage apologists on both sides are for seemingly the opposite reason than I care to mention...

But, that's what lead to the Algorithim throwing this my way.

The story of the Three Christs of Ypsilanti. The video explains it, but if you don't want to stop reading to click the video; I'll summarize it like this.

A doctor realizing he has multiple patients who think they're Jesus, gets the idea that if they talk to each to other they'll conclude that since there cannot be more than one Christ, it must be neither of them. So he starts a group where three Jesuses talk to each other and writes down what happened.

The results were as tragic as they were hilarious, and the doctor regretted having done so. I found two to three things interesting.

    1. How each Jesus was able to more or less become sane enough to realize the others weren't Jesus through simple logic and deductive reasoning, yet couldn't apply the same facts to themselves

    2. The men geniunely seemed to become the best of friends with one another.

    3. They kinda remind me of Chris, in that they're crazy and delusion and so is he.

The third point is part of why I'm posting here. Chris really is the portrait of what poor mental health looks like.

Not only does the experiment remind me of Chris because Chris thinks he's Jesus, but this experiment was sort of done with Liquid Chris. Though Liquid Chris was intentionally trying to get a rise out of Chris, and Liquid straight up knew he wasn't really Chris.

It makes me wonder what it would be like if Liquid Chris started a successful cult based on Neo Spiritual Christianity, and people went along with it.

I'm not saying this is my epic new Chris-Chan Trolling thing. It's no longer acceptable to "troll" people on the internet like that anymore, and you'd be hardpressed to find enough people willing to go along with it even if the original Liquid Chris decided that's how he wanted to roll.

But imagine if it did happen? Eh.. Just putting the thought out there. I mostly wanted to share the Three Christs story and see if it got others thinking of Chris too.

It wouldn't matter. Chris hasn't mentioned liquid in years. There are already other successful cults like this and they don't draw Chris's attention. Chris doesn't have a religious cult, so if Liquid started one it would probably draw more online ire than what Chris is currently receiving. Chris may just acknowledge and condemn it and be on his way about it like he has been with everything else as of late.

This isn't particularly apt because Chris isn't delusional nor does he have paranoid schizophrenia, he was just allowed to play pretend for so long that now he's free to do it without confrontation. It's a fuzzy distinction, but Chris doesn't think he's Jesus so much as there's no reason for him to bother dealing with the reality that he isn't Jesus. Like, imagine you wanted to live in Japan so badly that you buried your head under your covers and pretended to be there, and this was so convincing and rewarding to you, and you had no reason to get out of bed, that you may as well just stay there forever. That's what Chris does. Reality is so confusing and unrewarding, he's realized he may as well just say he's literally fucking God and all his problems are already solved, and he's willing to gamble that he can procrastinate confronting reality enough that reality will just decide to never confront him. It's kind of like a SovCit not rolling their windows down after getting pulled over - they're not delusional since they understand those are actual law enforcement offers, they're just being incredibly stupid and lazy and hope the officers will just get bored and go away on their own.

If he met someone else who believed they were Jesus, he would probably just shut down. That's the whole reason the enablers existed, Chris only responds to people who amuse him. Due to his autism, he's too antisocial and socially indifferent to legitimately have any peers he respects who could disapprove of his lifestyle, at most he'll simply pretend he respects you to get you off his back so he can go back to playing pretend. That's what's most notable about his condition and why it isn't a delusion, he's actively willing to process information that contradicts his fantasies in order to dismiss it. He's not confused, frustrated or concerned when someone confronts him with reality, he just rolls his eyes and tells them what they want to hear.
