How long before Chris breaks the swear?

 

This is honestly kind of tragic because Chris was never really a jerk about anything, he was always happy to fit in and go along with whatever the popular opinion was. He was just always under the influence of people who wanted to take advantage of him.

 

While I don't doubt Chris being under the influence of those taking advantage, I still can't forget how Chris acted to people like Mary Lee Walsh and Michael Snyder as well as the justification that was attempted with SheCameForCWC, granted that one was partly to prove the trolls that Chris was not a homo.

 

Nah, he's been a jerk. Egotistical, stupid, did a bunch of crap, and raped his mom. And given his track record, I doubt that apology is sincere. And what compelled him to post that "apology"?

 

Chris was definitely a dick during his time in college, and to people around the Charlottesville area in public from business owners, to college staff, even to cops who weren't initially planning on arresting him for minor offenses until he escalated it because his ego was wounded, and this was all before his online infamy began.

Hell, he was a dick to people during the classic era, from people who hadn't done shit to him like Adam Stackhouse, literal children at the GAMe PLACe whose only offense was getting annoyed with his selfish, narcissistic behavior, adult patrons at the PLACe who took even greater issue with his behavior, and even to the people online who interacted with him, like the people who were in with his trolls who talked to him but deliberately didn't fuck with him, but just wanted to know more about Chris and how he works. Oh and this isn't even including all the times he was a creep with Megan, and increasingly didn't care about boundaries she tried to set.

However, I do think a lot of the trolls did bring the worst out of Chris, at a time when he already was far from great and sinking lower, and was never going to be normal with his lifestyle, and having neglectful and irresponsible parents like Bob and Barb. The Idea Guys and Bella were all just the most extreme culmination of the more malicious type of trolls who brought the absolute worst out of Chris.

 

To be fair that was in a panic while trying to escape, and Snyder was blocking Charb. But "Chris Chan" also ran over a snake -- maybe repeatedly -- and was proud of it. I think he also got a neighbor's cat killed because the cat attacked that freak. And of course he let cats perish in that house fire (though maybe he couldn't get them out in time). Oh yeah, and he raped his mom.

and also stealing Simonchu. He never actually apologized for that one did he?

 

One such example: Chris getting into a shouting match with a black kid and thinking the black kids would steal the Pokemon cards. Don't forget random women trying to relax at a food court or whatever only for the "red heart string" to come in and annoy them.

 

"Chris Chan" has such a bloated ego that I do not think he ever sincerely apologizes. The only time he shows "remorse" is when the stupid crap he pulls backfires, or when he expects something in exchange (usually being unbanned). A sincere apology is admitting a fault, and he thinks he's "perfect just the way he is", and that he "can never do any wrong" ever. Hence, why I press X.

 

Yeah, due to autism, Chris has a very "exchange-focused" mindset. He doesn't do anything unless he expects something in return.
It actually reminds me of this one interrogation video I watched where a guy kept asking his interrogators "what's in it for me?" and the announcer mentioned that, since the dude spent so much time in jail, he's adapted to this "transactional" mindset from prison.
This makes me wonder why he even made this post at all - He was probably just expecting asspats for "humbling himself" at no expense. He didn't actually sacrifice himself, didn't reveal anything in specific he was sorry for. Just a vague "I did some naughty, non-descript stuff and now I'm sorry for it! You can thank me now"

 

Over on KF it's been guessed that it's because of another "brony" convention coming up.

 

That first series of incidents is exactly what I was talking about, when I said Chris was an ass to children at the GAMe PLACe. A shouting match with those same kids was the straw that broke the camel's back with Michael Snyder back in 2008, that made him decide to permanently ban Chris from his business.

His hostile interactions with those black kids I think is by far one of the more egregious examples of Chris's racism. It may not have been as overt as dropping the N bomb on them, like he did to other people on several occasions on the internet over the years, but you can't tell me his irrationally hostile behavior towards them wasn't rooted in Bob teaching Chris growing up to be more suspicious of black people. Which I imagine he did a lot whenever they lived in more urban areas like Charlottesville proper as a kid in elementary school, and when he lived in Richmond for most of the 90s and right after the turn of the millennium, which included the time Chris became a teenager and then later a young adult. Bob had to have planted the idea in his head at a young age that black people were more likely to be petty criminals and gang members. Why else do you think he constantly thought they were going to steal his cards and his video games?

Chris has since renounced his previous racism in a Twitter thread he posted a few years ago prior to his most significant arrest, mind you without actually apologizing for his well publicized prior racist statements and actions, but, I always think this is worth bringing up whenever people who are either ignorant or disingenuous try to paint classic Chris as this goofy and awkward cinnamon roll who was just a well meaning moron that was a victim of the ruthless wild west era of the internet in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Don't get me wrong, most of CWC's well known trolls were not good people, but, painting Chris as this innocent idiot who more often than not was always the victim and never made anyone's life harder always rung hollow to me, and struck me as very revisionist. Just because goobers like Anthony Logatto took their demonization of Chris to a cartoonish extreme, doesn't mean that Chris was a decent guy during his young adult years who was completely harmless either.

 

That was in the days before everyone and their dog had the ability to instantly record things. Had it happened now, that confrontation may have wound up on the internet, likely in a vertical video with some subtitle. But back then, people usually only had cellphones that they usually used for just texting and calling. The "classic" days would be different if they were going now.

 

Reminder: In the earliest days of Chris Chan people thought he was either made up or a troll playing a character

 

One can never forget Bob telling prank calling trolls "I seen crosses burn" which honestly can mean he either was a racist or a bystander, not that it would matter since he could of had some of the similar prejudiced beliefs towards black people at the time. The revisionism is funny since you don't need to paint Chris as a goofy idiot or some awkward cinnamon roll to say trolls like Clyde Cash or the Idea Guys were shitheads but it's on that same note, people should remember even before you had the trolling, Chris had terrible views such as the homophobia. Throwing a slur towards gay people in a college class and getting kicked out for that is something to note and even with the whole autism and all, one should remember it doesn't make Chris some wholly innocent individual. And also to note on people like A-Log exaggerating in their screeching over Chris, one should also remember how Chris made Megan feel uncomfortable and the reasons for justifying SheCameForCWC.jpg beyond just trying to prove trolls wrong, saying there was no regret in making it and that if it hadn't then something "stupid" could of happened, and that can go as far as unwanted sexual harassment and advances that would really of crossed the line.

Had it happen now, Chris would of definitely be seen as "a racist white bitch shouting at some kids." The closest to Chris being recorded and doing something shit was that Gamestop mace video.

And all it took was Chris responding for them all to go "oh shit, this person is dead fucking serious."

 

So dead serious that it didn't deserve a Captain's Log introduction.

I remember the first time I saw Chris. I was introduced by Evan who linked me to the earlier incarnation of the Sonichu site

I saw many covers for the Sonichu comics but no way to read them despite an hour of trying. (I can only guess Chris made that unintuitive)

Ultimately I decided the site was weird but either nothing I hadn't seen on deviantart or an elaborate failed attempt at parody.

To this day I still wish I recognized gold when I had first seen it.

 

I was lucky to hear of Chris via some Youtuber making a reaction video to the Fanta albeit it was just a screenshot of a can and him angrily saying what he saw. And then give it a few years later and I look into CWC after Linkara said one of the things he would never cover is Sonichu.

In my mind, Chris Has Always Been.

 

I first heard about that freak in passing back in the '00s. Didn't really start learning about his idiocy until the early '10s, with the CWCki. I think that was around the time of the October incident at the GAMe PLACe, or during that "radio silent" time afterwards that was ended when he uploaded the video of the LEGO "Manchester High School" at a McD's (likely attention thirsty).
