6/22/2018 - Chris at Too Many Games convention, kicked out on Day 2 for boundary issues

Basically this. Null is trying to prevent people from hurting Chris, but so few people are actually going to try to troll Chris into doing something dangerous and I think very few people are going to try to scam Chris out of money. I think maybe Joshua Martinez did when he pretended to be Vanessa Hudgens and asked Chris to a buy a special PSP, and whoever did it recently. There was some autist who tried to make Chris pay a fine via Google Wallet for being rude to people online but obviously that wasn't going to work and was found out quickly. But that's still 3 out of the hundreds of people who have contacted Chris (and I don't think not buying a commission or saying you'll give Chris money and not doing it is the same as scamming him. You're not taking any money from him, you're just not giving him any).

I think most people just want to mess with Chris in non-harmful ways like being a sweetheart, or mocking Sonichu and getting Chris to respond. Some ween recently tried to convince Chris they were interested in making a Sonichu game. While it's been done before Chris has expressed within the last year or two that he wants to have various Sonichu merchandise and media produced, so offering to do so and getting him to bite has potential. People like Idea Guy are the exception, not the rule.

For the record I don't dislike Null. I just think this gatekeeping will lead to a content drought, and CWC discussion on KF has gone to shit. I don't think it's possible to get Chris to act like he did in pre-tomgirl at this point which I think is what Null is trying to do. I don't think trying will make him any happier because he went a couple years without trolling after Bob died but didn't seem any happier than he is now (and was probably less so actually).

I'd just like to point out that some of the people wrangling Chris and telling people to leave him alone are also the ones who trolled him constantly for 5 years. And people who wanted to help Chris before would get mocked. It's only because it's Null the great leader that it's being accepted.

I think Chris could do alright in social situations where he isn't being overstimulated and having "fans" feeding his delusions. It's one thing to do that online when he's at home, or maybe even just a small group, but a covention with hundreds of people in attendance his weird behaviour will bother some people. People trying to defend weird shit Chris does like this are just adding as much fuel to the fire as people who are treating it like Chris is groping and attempting rape.

Now when I say he could do alright, I don't mean he'll completely fit and and not be a tard, but I can picture him not being any worse than before he trooned out. Chris isn't getting better and he might actually be getting worse because in addition to his sense of entitlement and ego he also has people buying anything he tries to sell and funding him furthering the delusion that he's really well liked (in an unironic way) and famous.

I think people trying to be his new puppet master, including those who are doing it with good intentions, are just making the situation worse as well. Defending Chris' shitty behaviour reinforces the idea that it's okay for him to do it. Now I don't think Chris should be made to suffer over small things like getting too close to people or kissing them, but I do think that him getting kicked out of the convention is justified. If any other tard were doing this nobody would defend it.

Chris isn't completely blameless in most situations. He's completely at fault here, and when he's creeping on women he wants to be his sweethearts he's the one at fault. Just because he's known for being a weirdo doesn't make it okay when he crosses the line.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but a lot of the people saying to leave Chris alone are responsible for him becoming so dull and paranoid. I don't want to see a bunch of malicious Idea Guy like trolls, but I doubt some randoms fucking with Chris will be anywhere near as bad as 5 years of continuous organized trolling.

I think enabling and trying to protect Chris at this point might be more destructive to him than just staying completely out of it. Instead of abandoning the internet and the online presence he’s created he’s come to embrace it even more, and we know with his massive ego and sense of entitlement it’s just made him out of control. Now he’s obsessed with going to cons and getting real world attention. But he doesn’t know how to behave so it backfires, very badly in this case. I know the intent was probably send Chris to the con so he feels normal and happy for a short time, but instead he thinks he’s a celebrity everyone wants to see (and be touched by). In some ways it’s a real disservice to Chris and all it did was create more lolcow content.

 

Null said he (and others) are managing Chris to control his interactions and keep malevolent individuals away. I'm a little dubious on how that will practically work over the long run but I'm much more dubious on the ethics and contradictions of it.

Chris is autistic and he's never had proper long term therapy, therapy he really badly needs. He shouldn't have gone to a con. He shouldn't have accepted the invite. Null didn't know to tell Chris to refuse because he doesn't really know how to benevolently manage Chris. All its doing is exposing deep contractions with how the community who observes Chris really thinks about him.

 

Chris needs long-term care. Seeing people turn on a dime to enable him is very disturbing. What happened tovcaklingbhim to yell Julie? Those wete sbniying at worst. Now he's got a retard personal army at his beck and call. The last year has been kinda bizarre.

It’s telling for the state of affairs when one of the modmins from KF has to come here to make a statement of what’s going on with Disco and Chris.

 

Chris was scammed out of $6,000 earlier this year.

The issue is, what if more Idea Guy-types show up?

If you consider Idea Guy's ghostwriting and Hirtes-tier weens screaming at Chris to be content.

Stuff like Chris getting scammed out of money was a game-changer. He does need help to prevent that from happening again.

Chris has gone to several cons by now (Omegacon, Bronycon, MAGfest) without issue. This time it was after Idea Guy had meddled with Chris's mind and made him think he's bisexual. Chris didn't start trying to kiss men on the cheek until that happened.

There have been droughts in Chris content before ... and yet, life went on. Just because some shit-tier faggot can’t get Chris to draw a serial killer pony-chu thing doesn’t mean “ERMAGERD KERS ERS DERD FERERVR!”

You guys are acting like it’s the end of the fucking world and it’s not. The people of the CWC community aren’t really equipped to give Chris the help he needs, but it looks like they’re at least trying to give him some guidance so the $6,000 thing, some shitass trying to ghostwrite Sonichu or 5 more Hirtes or yet another lame attempt at sweethearting doesn’t happen. Whether or not it’s an effort in futility or a case of “Too little, too late” remains to be seen.

I want to buy his intentions but really I'm finding it hard to. Null (and his team) cant manage Chris back into his pre 2011 state. I'll write an op about it soon but needless to say its...er...problematic

When was this, May? I remember seeing something about it, and I'm trying to find what it went to in the Random Updates thread on Kiwi Farms but not having any luck. Any idea who scammed him and with what premise? Was it just a normal scam or was it something someone made to get money from Chris personally?

 

If I recall someone contacted him saying he owed all this money on his mortgage and he paid it thinking it was the bank. Another example of him not being responsible or smart enough to handle his finances.

It wasn't that - Chris mentioned financial issues from around Nov '17 to April '18, but the mortgage drama happened after. What probably happened was he did make his mortgage payments but either Seterus has shitty customer service or a ween called up the Chandlers pretending to be the mortgage company as a prank to make Chris beg (Lucas Wolf did that once, pretending to be their power company, and was actively weening Chris around the time of the mortgage issue).
