I didnt think it possible, for the shirt to suffer anymore(beyond fire, mould and Chris's drool) but seeing Chris maul it with that thread and needle is painful.

As someone who has had to mend my work uniform on several occasions, that is NOT how you fix holes in fabric.

I wonder what the conversation was like:

    Can you fix it?
I'm sorry, it's beyond repair. I think you should just get a new one.
No! Someone's paying me 25 thousand for it because it's a classic Christorical relic!
    Wait, what?

Knowing Chris, he probably *did* launch into a rant about how "This is important! Someone is sending me 25 thousand for this shirt! Hmmm, yeah!"

Chris' sewing skills very much remind me of the spiders on drugs video:

Maybe with all the vermin in his house, there's a chance that the Tailor of Gloucester will help finish the job once Chris collapses into slumber.

Seeing The Classic CWC rugby polo undergo this botched half-assed repair job is eerily symbolic.

We have the new gender-bending CWC trying to stitch together the former CWC. And failing horribly at it as My Little Pony plays on a 1 minute loop in the background. Needless to say people are going to be far more interested in this than some of his other Ebay listings, since at its core its still a manchild-who-is-actively-writing-Sonichu era relic.

Whoever buys it now gets the added post-modern touch of gender confused manchild regression. Frame it.

He mentioned in the eBay listing that he was going to put the shirt in a frame.

What's the fucking point in restoring it anyway if it's going in a frame? Is this eventually going to be the autistic version of Ecce Homo?

Ecce Homo was done in good faith and with good intentions though.
The mangling of the classic was done in stupidity and greed

I can sew, not very well but it gets the job done. That is just bad, slapping ductape over the hole would have given better results.

Okay legit question: If the hole is that big, aren't you supposed to get another similar piece of cloth the same color, trim up the torn area, and then sew in the new piece to basically patch it?

I mean what good is stringing thread across such a large tear going to do?

This is like... lazy, and yet a more difficult method than actually trying to do it correctly. Also, if you waved some ridiculous amount of money like say a couple hundred bucks (plus expenses) at my mom or someone like her who does alterations for pocket money, I'm pretty sure she could make this thing look as good as it ever possibly could at a relatively minimal expense. Yes it would cost more than one of these shirts does new, but relative to the 20+ grand it'd be nothing.

You're thinking too logically. This is Chris. He's a moron with close to no common sense. He is also lazy and unskilled at pretty much everything he attempts (except begging strangers on the internet for money).
