    yes, he'll spend Valentine's Day and Christian Love Day (his birthday, Feb 24th) in the jail of fail

    and probably
    St Patrick's Day
    Easter
    Mother's Day (LOL)
    Memorial Day
    Father's Day
    Independence Day
    but his case could be decided by Labor Day

    To be honest, no matter what the outcome is or how long before he's going to end up in prison, he's going to have a hard time. Especially if he makes it to prison.

    Honestly, Davey Heezy is gonna keep getting continuances as long as he can. If it can be shown that 15+ years of trolling lead to this, he may be able to reduce Chris's sentence (if only by a little bit). Not to mention, jury selection is gonna be a bitch for this.

    Does anyone else also feel like Heilberg is aware that, once this goes to trial, his place in Christory is gonna be a large one? There are going to be changes in his illustrious career after this, and he may not know if those consequences will be good or bad.

    There is a reason that now, more than ever, the legal system is trying its hardest not to put people in jail. We're still playing catch-up from 2020. Not to mention, finding a psychiatrist to do the evaluation may be a challenge. Once again, the minute someone gets involved in this, they are now a part of Christory.

    Which is all the more reason why I think there are so many continuances. Heilberg knows that Chris will not get out with an insanity plea, so his only choice is to try to establish that this is, in an indirect way, the fault of the trolls.

    Either way, there is a very good chance that places like the CWCki and Kiwi Farms are going to be used as evidence in court. Imagine you're a Southern, small-town court. You have to be very careful once you set a date for a trial like this, because this is probably nothing like the Greene County court system has ever seen.

    I still think that without winning the sweepstakes, Chris would still be messed up, but not as bad.

    I agree. After all the sweepstakes was just another example of how well he was doing.

    EDIT: Come to think of it I wonder how much of an impact the news story had on him. We all know it's just a feel-good fluff piece but to a kid, especially back then, being on the news and seeing yourself on TV was a huge accomplishment. I think the praise and accolades he got for winning the contest had a bigger impact than the contest itself. To everybody else it's nice to see a disabled kid do things on his own, but to him he's getting attention for being good at watching cartoons.

    Just a random thought I had: Chris mentioned that Barb was "confused" at first when he tried... fingerbanging her, but supposedly she warmed up to it. (God I want to vomit) A lot of people say this means that she wasn't able to consent, but she's apperently competent enough to live alone, drive, (even if she drives like a GTA characrer) and even show up in court. Didn't Chris also say that Megan was just "confused" when she was upset over shecameforcwc? I'm not sure what to make of this, mostly because I don't want to think about what this might imply.

    Add the fact that Chris believed shecameforcwc was good because he "might have become an abusive maniac". Chris's understanding of consent has always been awful.

    I'm not sure why people assume that any of this means Barbara is mentally competent enough to consent to anything. If anything this means that Virginia doesn't actually care if the elderly exist as a hazard to themselves or others and would rather let them wander confused through the community (with their cars) than put any infrastructure in place to deal with it.

    Looks like the next hearing isn't until July 28th, and @ICanFeelTheCosmos0704 was right about Chris being locked up during all the holidays between now and Independence Day.
