Something I found on both the "Chris and Health" and "Chris and Psychology Mental Health" pages

 

I love it how in the transcripts in the videos that Chris is screaming they put the words he is screaming in gigantic font, that always amuses me

 

I was reading the Cwcki again and I really like the Chris and Spanish article.

I didn't realize Chris actually thinks that people change their names when they speak Spanish rather than just use their birth name and doesn't seem to realize that it is just a common thing in classrooms to make it more fun and not an actual cultural thing Spanish speakers expect you to do in real life.

 

Yeah, and not even just when he speaks Spanish...
I think he also likes the connection between Ricardo being his Spanish name from high school and I Love Lucy.

Yeah, I really like the Liquid Chris video of him speaking all of those languages of course all while in a Virginian accent

 

Make sure to escribir muy carefully. (It is HILARIOUS to me how on his English essays he started writing in Spanish halfway through and expected to get a good mark).

Really? Where does he do this? I find it funny. You think for an English assignment it is pretty obvious you should write in... well, I don't know, English?

Why would he use Spanish for an English essay about Japan? It would be pretty clever if he used Japanese though

 

Imagine an essay about WW2 written in stereotypical weeb slang, including describing Adolf Hitler as a 'baka' and ending every sentence in 'desu'.

 

I would hate to be a teacher in the 2000s when weebery was at its peak, especially an English teacher having to grade creative writing assignments of weebs writing what they believe to be the next biggest light novel or an art teacher trying to tell a weeb to focus on practicing drawing real people and study real anatomy

That could still be better than trying to wade through the freakish "English" of that one lolcow, which sounds like it was written by a crappy AI with an ego issue.

Of course it's not wrong to prefer a certain style. People do not have to draw realistic (although that can help for drawing the Japanese style - which I think can have "serious art value").

Also there can be an unhealthy extreme of "poserish Japan fanboy", but there's the other extreme out there of almost suspiciously Pavlovian hostility to anime and "weebs" liking Japan stuff.

 

I mean, you have to practice more realistic styles to learn basic anatomy and stuff usually before you start bending the rules generally speaking. It isn't that art teachers hate the anime style necessarily, it is more like if you just draw anime alone or just draw one thing, you can stifle your progress as an artist.
