OK, so what are you playing

 

TBH, I was just trying to find a picture of Pissed Off Angry Gamer holding his GameCube (preferably when he was using his gut as a table), and came across those screencaps by complete accident, and I thought people here would have a laugh at it, so I also decided to include that as a bonus.

 

I can't remember how powerful the launch stage was but it has enough thrust to get everything in orbit. It didn't have a name but the interplanetary craft has roughly 3200kw at it's disposal if the reactor wasn't restricted. With controlled burns and patience there was enough fuel for a full system tour. Basically it has all the Δv in the world but without care it will either run out of Xeon Gas or catastrophically overheat.

There was also a pod for kerbin re-entry upon completion (pictured) but it also serves as Jeb's eternal space tomb quite nicely.

 

Can a Bussard ramjet work in KSP?

(magnetic scoop at one end and engine at the other)

 

I honestly wonder what else that man has done beyond SHITCUBE and saying how the disc were like a big "chocolate chip cookie."

 

He also made a review of the Xbox 360 where he shows off his "amazing" editing skills (loud sound warning, btw)

As well as a "review" of Contra 4 on the DS that's based more on the fact that the Konami Code doesn't let him cheat than for any of the game's actual merits (also loud sound warning)

 

The preview image to that first video looks heretical.

Yes. That was a very common thing at the time. I will give him credit for one thing: his videos are still not as unwatchable as Game Dude's.

Did a flyby of Eelo. Tried to land a probe on Moho but it came in too fast. Gonna try refueling the craft in orbit before sending it over there.

Next game I want to get into is Battletech.

Ever play the original Master of Orion?

In planet invasions, invaders are ordinary folk, who get drafted into total war with ordinary folk of the world being invaded, which is rather w-a-t. It'd be like all the billions of people of this world being armed to fight off an alien invasion, despite whatever training - or lack thereof - the people have. Also a peace treaty does not always protect from invasion attempts.

(Master of Orion 2 is more realistic with any war on a planet being done by actual military forces. Capturing a planet doesn't have to mean mass genocide either, which isn't that pleasant.)

 

I picked up a copy of Dragon Quest 8 over the weekend, it's pretty fun.

 

Reminds me of something. Want to know why the 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII censored both Jessica's alt costumes and the scene where a character stabs themselves in the wrist? It has nothing to do with the localization, the changes exist in the Japanese version, and it also has nothing to do with the game being on a Nintendo system instead of a Sony system.

It actually is because the Japanese CERO rating system got a lot more strict between the 2004 release of the PS2 original and the 2015 3DS remake. You see, Dragon Quest is heavily marketed in Japan as being for all ages, so the games always go out of their way to make sure they get an A CERO rating, their equivalent for ESRB's E rating. As you can tell by the fact that 8 for both the PS2 and 3DS are rated T by the ESRB, CERO is a lot less strict, but certain things became less acceptable in the 11 year gap, which meant those changes were needed to keep its A rating.

 

I actually have the 3DS version. I had to download it on the eShop because the price of a physical copy was too steep for me when I got around to wanting to play it (THANKS, SCALPERS). Thank god it wasn't March 2023 when I decided to download it.

You'll still be able to play games you download on the 3DS and Wii U even after their e-shops close.
The e-shops' closing is just an unfortunate side effect of consoles losing relevance after being "replaced" (by the general public) by the newest console. There's never any real conspiracy behind why these happen, it's just that most companies don't want to keep servers up for an at best niche market. Sucks, I know.

Anyway, the only digital download games I ever bought was the internet browser and Mario 3 on the on the Wii.

Then the browser got free, so I got to get Kid Icarus free as compensation for having to pay for the browser.

 

I am so glad I got all of the Physical DS and 3DS Dragon Quest games when they were first announced instead of sitting on the idea of buying them.
