Back to SE again after a hiatus of over 3 weeks.

It's a nice planet in the same system as where I started out. That's all I really know. I have since abandoned my original base on a shitty planet that is like 100F during the day and gets to like -50F at night for the hot new base on the glowing mushroom planet.

 

So it could be in another galaxy entirely, not the Milky Way?

Like I said, SpaceEngine doesn't have cool stuff like neon mushroom forests - just empty terrain worlds.

 

Yeah, from what I understand, there are at least 5 different galaxies. The one I've been planted in is called "Euclid", which I'm assuming is the main one. I haven't researched enough to be able to warp to other galaxies yet, though.

G2A.com has No Man's Sky steam codes for around $20, and it's worth the money.

 

So there's no Milky Way or that one solar system with that one crazy planet?

Not that I know of. That galaxy sucks anyway.

 

It's not all bad. There's an open cluster with thin blue-lit gas inbetween the suns.

Ok, so they word things kinda differently and I used the wrong wording. There are tons of star systems in each galaxy. The mushroom planet where I have my mushroom base is in the same star system as the shack I built when I first started out, the lakeside/underwater base I built last night is in another star system and then a base I built specifically for an online daily task is in a different system. All those systems are located in the same galaxy (Euclid.) Each star system has their own suns which vary from 1 to 3 (that I've seen). One of the mission goals is to make it to the center of the galaxy.

I haven't built a powerful enough engine to warp to a different galaxy, though. I can only warp to yellow, red and green star systems right now.

 

Is there a supermassive black hole there?

Galaxies IRL usually have those things...

 

Yeah, there's at least one, but I haven't checked it out. It's on my to-do list.

 

Played parts of Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe. It's okay for what it is but I'm not sure if it's worth the full asking price. They replaced the Minecraft and Portal easter eggs with Firewatch and Rocket League, which was baffling (and made the ending worse). Parts of the new content also seemed oddly passive aggressive, such as the game sucking off Jim Sterling and seething over a Steam review for a few minutes straight

Playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Not really doing a lot of story missions because I want to make sure I can get stuff that can otherwise be missed. Did miss out on a hat and some fancy valuable but those both require me to be a complete dick and the worst I'll do is just robbing dead bodies from a cart and removing dead hostile hillbillies from said cart which for whatever means losing honor even though said hillbillies are murderous rapist and the like.
