I dislike Teddie much more than Morgana, because at least Morgana never gave a running commentary on what was happening during battle and then shrieking like a banshee at me every 10 seconds if any of the party members' health was less than 75%.
I don't know what the purpose of Teddie is, because he gets bitchy if you leave him in the TV for too long and he has no confidant arcana, nor does he offer any buffs during battle. At least Morgana has an arcana and is an active party member with useful skills. (He was useful during end-game Mementos in vanilla P5 for me, because I used him for healing.)
Sure, having my sleep cycle dictated to me by a cat was annoying, but it's considerably less annoying than an empty bear suit that resembles a butt-plug screaming, "YOSUKE'S HURT! YOU BETTER HEAL HIM!" every 10 seconds while roaming around a palace, or random shit after every character's turn during battle.

So for this instance:
Morgana > Teddie

 

You forgot to mention that Morgana is a cuter mascot character for Atlus (and Sega, considering they now own Atlus) to market plushies and other merchandise for kids despite his game featuring a bunch of shit that's very inappropriate for kids (not just Mara).

After 8.5 days, and 72 hours, I have finished Persona 4 Golden and got the True Golden Ending.

Spoiler: My Unsolicited Opinion

- It took me 40 hours to get "into" the game and to finally like it. A game should not take that long to like.
- Un/fortunately, in my opinion, the story is rather weak.
- However, the characters are what endeared me to the game. Their interactions with each other were pretty realistic in the way that they treat each other like friends do - they talk shit to each other almost constantly, curse each other out, and hang out with each other independently of the protagonist (Yu Narukami.) That was something that was lacking in Persona 5 - the relationships between non-Joker characters were never developed, except for a little bit in passing conversations, (i.e.: Yusuke mentioning he has no friends, so Ryuji offering to hang out with him.) I think the issue is that for P5, they were more focused in developing main story and overlooking the character relationships, whereas it was the opposite in P4. Like, in P4, sure, there's the fight-flirting pair, but there's also the awkward pair that is always subtly together, and neither of those pairs involve Yu. That's refreshing and accurate to friend groups.
- Holy fuck I hate Teddie. I have a newfound respect for Morgana now because I fucking hate Teddie so much. Forever hate Teddie.
- I only really like a handful of characters, but those characters are what make the game. I like Yu Narukami because he's given better snark than Joker. (I also very much appreciate that the funny/snarky dialogue options don't impact the relationship as they do in P5.)

Nanako is fantastic and MUST PROTECT AT ALL COSTS. Yosuke is your typical 15-year old best bro. Kanji is the most wholesome and heartwarming and I think he experiences the most personal growth, on par with Yusuke from P5.

That all said, I still prefer Persona 5 over Persona 4. Persona 4's end didn't bring out the same feels as P5 did. With Persona 5, I didn't want to say goodbye to the friends I'd made and I didn't want their story to end because I wanted more of them just hanging out and doing fun shit. I was fine with P4 ending and I'm ready to move on to something else. I mean, I'm going to move on to P4Dancing and P4 Arena Ultimax, but I don't have that same drive I did like with P5.

Spoiler: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax - Had actually been looking forward to play this since I saw the Friday Night Fisticuffs episodes of the original Persona 4 Arena and original Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.
It's not great. The Arcade mode isn't bad, though. The story mode plays like a visual novel* and it's kinda weird hearing Yu Narukami/Protagonist have fully voiced lines. For every battle chapter in story mode, there are three or four exposition chapters.
That said, I actually do enjoy the gameplay. I'm still a super n00b at fighting games, and I've really only ever played the Mortal Kombat games, but I like the movesets and combos.

Spoiler: Persona 4 Dancing All Night

Persona 4 Dancing All Night - P5D is fun as hell. There's no story mode, but the more you play, the more fun stuff you unlock, like chapters for each character's story arc, costumes, and accessories. In P4D, there is a story mode, and it's pretty grueling. Like P4AU, it plays like a visual novel and there is no deviation from the pattern of:
- Exposition: We've reached the dungeon.
- Dance
- Exposition: Oh there's the person we're saving!
- Dance
- Exposition: Oh no the person turned into a monster!
- Dance
- Exposition: Leave person we saved in a safe place.
- Exposition: Story talk
- Exposition: We've reached the dungeon.
etc.
It took about an hour until I got to dance for the first time. Over the course of about 4 hours, I'd danced 12 times total and I skipped a ton of dialogue.

Just like the original game, the storylines for both P4AU and P4D are weak as hell, but the problem with the spinoff games is that they're missing a lot of the charm of the character interactions that P4G has. However, summoning Izanagi-no-Okami to nuke someone with Myriad Truths as a finisher is pretty rad.

 

Last few weeks was mostly playing Elden Ring. Ran the same character face on a new save, done much better on that one but both saves aren't getting endings because I'm waiting to see if DLC comes out. Other than that, I'm running a Postal 2 run that tries to go full pacifist while also pissing on people to either shorten lines or cause enough chaos for police to intervene.

Yeah. Meanwhile, Star Citizen has still yet to be released, and might never be released because the scam artists developers would rather continue getting money from idiots that are convinced that progress is being made when they're shown a jpeg of a 3D spaceship.

 

Duke Nukem Forever and Nioh were seen as games that were vaporware but at least there's something one can play. Meanwhile with Star Citizen, there's nothing. I haven't even kept up on that game beyond knowing the sort of vaporware tied to it and the ships. Considering today's landscape with NFT's, Star Citizen may as well had you buy jpegs before they were "cool" among cryptobros and NFT bros.

 

From what I heard, there's less to explore than in SpaceEngine (still a lot though), yet there's alien animals and more stuff to do.

(SpaceEngine worlds are pretty much just empty terrain.)

Postal 2. Finally made it to Friday on a pacifist run. Now I'm really checking my stats every five minutes to make sure I don't have a single kill. Last time I tried this run years ago around the mid 2010's but somewhere on Thursday or Friday I somehow immolated a cat and it fucked up my run. This time I'm really paying attention, all while playing as a leprachaun with an elephant sized dick while wearing either a cop outfit or a gimp suit if I can find either of those since they stop hate groups from firing at me on site until I bump into one.
